This is my other favorite by another cultural landslide. It's just plain magical. I downloaded it and sometimes I just play it on a loop until Real Life tears me away.
I've been listening to this song by another cultural landslide for a month or so now, and I never to laugh out loud at the serious rambunctiousness of this song. (And the incongruous 50s sitcom imagery of the title certainly doesn't hurt!)
This is just another reason why the acl is my favorite artist on AloneTone ...
Hey...I don't think I told you how much I enjoyed your music. Love the cat theme, wherever that came from. Just had a dream about a white and black tabby last night...weird. Great music!
Together, this album is an amazing piece of work, and especially so for a 30 day adventure. Congrats again, and looking forward to listen to your new stuff.
your wurli floating glide touch is quite solid, sir - very, very nice
and yes, synth, please
(greetings from the dead, who might be in the process of rising again k&w ;-) )
wasn't expecting this - but quite fine, sir :)
it's quite obvious we need to catch up on what you've been doing
(them dead people ain't quite dead yet) k&w;-)
I said it so long ago:
"We don't know.
We might not ever, will we?"
I said it so long ago:
"We don't want to know.
Or do we?"
Suffocate, I want to suffocate

O my brother
Where did you go?
Down to the river
To beg for your soul?
Did anyone see you?
Did you go there alone?
What did you offer
For one of their stones?
O my brother
Is there any way out?
Of the deal they offered?
Did they leave…
She stands alone in my mind
She'll make it home in her own time
I've always known that she's not mine
She gets closer to the line
Then turns and walks away
Breaks out the wine
Don't know how she survived another day
So you wanted your freedom
What from the past were you willing to take?
I'm sure you had your reasons
Too many promises you swore you'd never break
The world that you know is not coming back
Maybe it's time you start burning the tracks…
If I just slip the car in drive
I'll meet you on the other side
Or maybe I could turn back time
And we could both pretend to fly
Losing feeling inside out
No sense kneeling, no such doubt
Failed at saving, nothing lasts
Just repaving…
So I dropped the guitar into DADGAD tuning for the first time, threw a capo on the third fret, rifled off something nice, and sent it to Movement to Contact for his contribution, got it back, did some mixing...
Here is the result.
YOU NEED…
I fear the day when it will be the last one.
ANOTHER GOODBYE
I don’t know where to start, but I guess I’ll try
I can speak from my heart, and I’ll try not to cry
I won’t see you enough, and we know time’ll fly
Then we’ll fall out of…
The title track for this year's RPM album. One mic. Live take. Please forgive the missed notes.
LETTERS
Writing while I drive with voices in my mind
Passed along by friends I’ve never met
Trying to stay alive in one place in time…
This pretty much sums it all up for me I guess.
