I wish I could say that I had a story behind this but I have none :( Thanks to all those that put their input into this, particularly GCD, I cannot overstate how helpful this was.

Nice! I really like this so far. Only suggestions I have are to try messing with the sound of your synth lead with more than just pitch bend, e.g. instead of pitch bend sometimes try jacking with the resonance or cutoff, modulation/LFO, or using other effects briefly (echo/delay, different eq levels of hi/lo-pass filters, etc.)
This was another one of my more popular pieces that I had up from SoundCloud. I can't remember the story of how I wrote this. I was probably just messing around.

Indeed GCD knows his stuff :) I always trust his advice. Speaking of which I uploaded a new version with the fixes. Im gonna give it another look to see what else I can do to improve it in the meanwhile. I never liked the idea of uploading blatantly-not-ready music though, so I do add what I can beforehand :)

Well, I am not a musician, but sounds great to me!
Galileo knows what he's talking about though.
I love the quiet and then the percussion piece in the middle.

I wanted to hear something in a higher octave come in sometime after the drums and bass came in, maybe in sixteenth notes or something. Maybe also make the hi-hat go double-time for a bit when the melody starts getting crazy around 2:15-ish. Sounds like a good start, though!
This is very good, clever timing. It sort of reminds me of Liabach with glass voices, the drums loops are excellent. PS thank you for the comments T.L.B'r
Great title for this track. Reminded me of a fairground - great energy and mix of sounds.
I also use Ardour on Linux, there aren't many of us about. Welcome to alonetone!
Written with a buddy of mine Chris Clark in 1991. Initially he had a great guitar part and a harmony vocals part that was better than what I did here. This was recorded @ Halvorsound all parts performed by Hook.
After the other Reg knew that i found out about his affair with Desirea he's done the right thing to save thetworegs and finished with her, he wanted Elvis to help him out on this one he wouldn't he was a little upset at his behaviour. So the…

We're gonna be there in your wake
mending the seams when they start to break
make you do what you said that you would
and other words that rhyme with good

This was a collab i heard today on Songcrafters and was wondering wether to ask to have a go at it vocally when Tharek sent me message asking me to have a go so Thanks Tharek and Dave, i am more than pleased to give it a go. i loved this music…
This started out with the rhythm, and then it took me a month to find a tune to go with it.
I used three synths: my Mopho, Matrix 1000, and a great deal more Roland JP8000 than I originally intended.
I don't know why, but this morning when I woke you were the first thing that I thought about.
After all this time, I must be crazy to still think of you.
So tell me how can I move on when I'm stuck inside the past? Still thinking of what we had…
Along with her magnificent harmonizing vocal tracks, Inge sent me one track which was crashed by her 2-year old son Willem. He pretty much takes over the whole operation at about 3:00.
In the background you can hear the original rough vocals…
This is a great track, and Williems inclusion adds to the lighthearted nature of the song :) agree with MTC's comment about having it as a hidden track
This is a piece using Garritan World Sample Set (Tibet singing bowls and Tibet bells) and pianoteq. It also uses a non-octave tuning that is an infinite stack of just major seconds (scala file below).
From the album of the same name, this track really was recorded on a dark and stormy night, just to see if any of the elemental turmoil going on outside would lend its ambience to the proceedings. The thunder claps came from a sound effects album…

I really enjoyed this track. For a work in progress I should say it's progressed brilliantly.
A wired ride into the darkness.....enjoyed may i add

Wow this keeps developing and taking unexpected turns like a high-speed chase through a year's worth of accumulated subconscious information.

This track feels in place in a videogame like Quake 3 or something. I love the retro feel the song has. Great tune :)
