You are not just a superb musician and musical arranger, you are also a gifted songwriter.
Everything you produce is most entertaining.
Having a great time here again this morning.
She hangs a little garden
so everyone can fit in her yard
when it's time to take tea
fills it up when they're walking about
they really knew how to twist and shout
and they're always going back that way again
rents a flat with his sister…
She hangs a little garden
so everyone can fit in her yard
when it's time to take tea
fills it up when they're walking about
they really knew how to twist and shout
and they're always going back that way again
rents a flat with his sister…
Well, it IS!
lyrics for my Italian friends:
We're gonna be there in your wake
mending the seams when they start to break
make you do what you said that you would
and other words that rhyme with good
once so close why let it go, baby…

Love this one.
Brilliant lyrics, and a gorgeous quirky performance.
I like how you fly by the seat of your pants on songs - you seem to be treading a thin line between genius and disaster. For my money you're falling off on the genius side with this one.
I always aim at solid and dependable - I've got a feeling I could learn something from your songs.
This is sick. I love it. I always enjoy when someone knows how to tastefully employ synth instrumentation which obviously sounds fake. You don't try to pass off the violin sound as anything other than a familiar sort of lynch pin for the rest of the heavier rhythms.
I wrote this song for my adopted daughter. She was raised by a mother who saw her as a burden and went through alot of physical and sexual abuse. But this song isn't just about that. It's about her overcoming all that and becoming a strong woman.
love the newer tracks, beetle. I especially like where this one goes after about the 2:30 mark, with the tinkering percussion and competing little synth sounds. Good stuff.
I really enjoyed this collection/album, David. It has a warm, subdued, private kind of charm to it. I like how a lot of the songs feel like they're being held together by a thread.
Trampled
-
A quickly improvised tune with some stream-of-consciousness lyrics. Written/recorded hastily in the dead of night on Tuesday 11/27 with a short overdub session on Thursday 11/29, when I should have been sleeping.
All basic tracks…
A bit of improv done yesterday with my newly refurbished fretless guitar. Finally got the midi pickup to track almost right! Part of the sounds were gotten by rubbing a teaspoon on the strings.
Well, I like it. Almost a kichey throwback to hearts of space type cascading ambient, which no one really does anymore. Has a kind of slightly on edge shrill I find interesting.

Thanks very much again, Sandy
Listening to a bunch of your stuff today. Really amazing work, so much personality in what you do. Quality stuff all the way. Big fan here.
Very flavourful, exciting and totally fun. Love it...early Bowie comes to mind.

Great tune! Killer production. The rythym section is very Beatlesque! Especially the bassline. Good to know my homestate is producing good tuneage.
Hey thanks, Len, Andrew and Bethan... mail some of that fine Cornish home cooking to America. I haven't had anything but pizza and noodles in a week!
Oh this is brilliant. BRILLIANT.
Oh yes, I do like this. Love the kind of 60s vibe to it. I'm going to have to listen to more of your stuff.
Ha, nice little bonus on the end!
What a jolly and clever song. Sounds really great! Love yer vox! I think I'll have you on while I'm cooking dinner.
I like the nice folksy feel of this.

Heh! Nice and strange, I like it! Love the guitar part 1:45. I think this could do with a nice big gong, or a thumping kick of some kind.
Wow, this is really beautiful... A dreamy flurry of activity.

Badass! I wouldn't mind if this one just kept ratcheting up exponentially into some kind of mad fury.
thanks
Nice jazzier take on the tune, guys! Good performances and arrangement.
Fantastic! Covers a range of feelings and is just plain fun, as well.
Great beat, and in combo with the muted scratch/warble it really comes to life, another good one.

This is great Sandy, you give the song a raw desperation that works quite well.

awesome, love your voice.
Very unique voice, silky smooth... fantastic performance here.
Neat! XTC and The Jam collide. Great performance.
This is intensely heavy, you can almost feel the weight and movement. Nice work, Altair.
Very Cohen-esque... good stuff, CS.
Cool, Reef. I've never heard anyone try to cover this.
This is horrifying... I love it.
really cool, love the sounds on this one, Ferryman. The Guitar and synths are fantastic.
