I’ll make my exit on the wind
Nevermore to pretend
That I’m fine
Yeah, I’m good, so good
At doin’ everything I should
To convince you
That I’m okay for today
An’ I won’t crawl out of my skin
I’ll just pretend
Some days…

I'm still getting around to re-upping everything I took down last October.... this is one of them, and if I recall correctly, this is the track that was the impetus for Paul & I to start collaborating. (Something I've been missing a lot…

I thought this was a Hapi drum (or perhaps a Hang Drum), which I just love. Very nice work on it, Mark, as well as the djembe & dumbek. And Chris' guitar work makes even nicer. Strong work guys!
Featuring Mark Hubbard & Duma, on didj & percussion respectively, this one begins as the most traditionally structured piece on the album. But don't get used to it, it doesn't last long... just enough to ease you into the formlessness…
@kavin. - lol, that's just it: I did not persevere --- *I gave up!* :-)
The 'real' songs will be coming along before too long... but unfortunately they are too late to count for RPM...
These were just my glimpses into formlessness... but you know how it is... the longer you look into it, the more you realize there are layers of order within the chaos.
I'm just tryin' to surf the chaos.
...or at least stay afloat!
I just saw a comment below that mentioned EARTH... I was thinking similar thought moments before I saw that comment... not meant to be a comparison, just noting that you are in very good company...
10 minutes in... other influences have entered the field... darkness headed towards becoming absolute.... very well done indeed, this is entering my pool of favorites... soon to be downloaded & enshrined on a shiny disc for late night ear goggle exploration... thanks for sharing! now 12 minutes in ... a promise of dawn to come...
5 + minutes in & I am enjoying this immensely! Starting to edge toward darkness now... 6 min... this seems to have far more thought put into it than my recent RPM soundscapes... this is extremely well done! ...still decending... 7 minutes in...
*Pilón* reveals a Cuban pattern, traditionally played on Timbales, but in this case on Jr. Congas & Congas (with gated reverberation and flanger effect). The rhythm of Pilón is based on the motions of pounding sugar cane.

I purchased a new M-Audio midi keyboard during RPM. The software alone was worth the $100.
There was no chance I was wasting any time during RPM with a learning process.
Today, I got the opportunity to install the software and plug it in. This…
Hey Geas, you know my boy Zack is a rapper, right? It's nerd rap apparently... not sure what all that entails (super heroes & sci-fi at least) but you might wanna hit him up. This one sounds like it could be Pirate Rap. I can hear a chorus of "Yo-ho-ho-ho-ho!" at the end!
This is my favorite one so far! The guitar echo sounds like one of the tracks I've been working on myself... This is one of your tracks that starts inspiring words in my head as soon as I hear it!

Lyrics:
River run away with me
I got my paddle in my hand
Take me far away from here
Take me to the sea
Take me somewhere I don’t know
Take me where the water goes
Start out fast, then go slow
Closer to the…
Wow, I was already thinking what a special song this is & then then that flute solo just sealed it! Sure would love to hear an "extended mix" with more of that! I like where everything sits in the stereo field, this is a nice spacious mix...
Comments on Cave Street's stuff
Great voice.
Oh how lovely to hear this again. I love your voice!
Wonderful vocal Michael and truly great song.
Oh, now we're talking. I've missed these wonderful songs, messages, voices...
It's nice to sit back and listen to a song I know all the words to. Unquestionably my favorite Cave Street song.
Ooh, the contrast between a lullaby & a wake-up call is brilliant.
Real good....
Damn Don't know how I missed this? I might have a go at it. Better late than never :)
Thats fab, just a great sound here.
This is so breezy - very therapeutic during a hectic morning of child-herding!
Very cool! Great beats!
This is fantastic gentlemen. Smooth beat. I'm always inspired by Cave Street.
Now that's what I'm talking about! Great stuff. I'd love to be able to get my hands on a Hang Drum - the Hapi sounds just like one here.

What a beautiful track! Love the percussion parts!
Most enjoyable, hypnotic, tribal rhythm. I am so relieved you can't see me.

Holy moly, what a rocker! Sounds like you're channeling Bob Scott there dude!
I like this song, thanks for sharing your music.

Psychedelic!
This is a nice track... are you doing RPM this year?
I agree with Keith: inspired/humbled! As always, thank you for so freely sharing your beautiful music, kavin..
Let me know if you want me to send these to MC Freakin'Genius (aka Zack)

This one reminds me of Art of Love... I like the echoes & the low bass hits.
It's like Benny Hill goes western! Fun track!! This needs some seriously twisted lyrics! :-D
