i never want to see Desirea again.....she's hurt me for the last time....thanks Chris & Norm for getting her out of my system once and for all..............
Chris sent me the the track this afternoon and i took to it straight away and threw it down the cellar to see what would happen and Frankie Zee quickly scribbled the lyrics and Reg sang it or should i say spoke it straight in one take because…
Outstanding Zappa feel on the percussion. Vaisvil, you should be careful about whom you allow your children to play with.
Reg: your love for Desiree does not come from above. I'm not even sure that she herself is of this world. Why does she always keep showing up at your most vulnerable moments, only to disappear almost immediately??
You are making my day! Mahalo! Amy and I did it in church, but the sound guy didn't start the record in time, so the beginning is cut off. Also, we both had colds at the time. Hopefully I can record this with both of us soon.
Bethan, thanks so much! My "Band" is my computer - I used a program called "Band-In-A-Box" It makes it easier for people of limited abilities like myself to still put songs together. After I come up with a song on my guitar, I plug the chords in. I can change the tempo. Then I click on a button that will try out the song in different pre-set styles (variations on jazz, country, folk, pop, rock, soul, reggae, classical, new age, etc etc). I look for the one that's closest to what I'm hearing in my head. From there it can be tweaked with rests, holds, muted istruments, switched instruments, etc until it's even closer to what I want. It's good enough to get a good sketch of what I'm thinking the song should sound like. One new thing with these last two songs - instead of midi instruments, the program has "styles" using actual recorded instruments, so the drums, guitar, fiddle, etc are not midi! Anyway, I then I use Power Tracks to import the music and add lead and harmony tracks.
The second of seven unfinished leftovers from RPM 2007 to finally get completed. The lyrics are about my strong desire to vacation in San Diego... permanently. Just a little 12-bar. I liked this one a lot more before it was finished. Now I…

Yeah, that will just happen to you once. Beth is right. Good one!
Uh, Reg, we have heard this before from you. I hope for your sake that you have finally learned your lesson.
Reg has some of the best advise regarding "hate" that I have heard for awhile. Don't be a hater!

You have a lovely, tender voice.
Thanks, Bethan! A song I wrote with our church's bluegrass band in mind. Had fun playing with the words once I got the idea.

Most beautifully played. I like the addition of the strings.

I've been listening to your songs for several hours. The way you do them is very restful. Nice voices and very peaceful sounds.
