john lee hooker, I SHOULD be listening to too much of him. I feel I leave out so much of the rhythmical aspects of the guitar. You can have a louder than drums sound from a guitar and if you can work your way around that there guitar you can definitely add more than what drums have to offer. Excellent song here Kavin. Cheerz.
I wish I could say that I had a story behind this but I have none :( Thanks to all those that put their input into this, particularly GCD, I cannot overstate how helpful this was.
Another rough cut (just to get it together). The lyrics to this little song were written by my father quite some time ago. It's one of my favorite poems, and I hope I do it justice in song.
Pea Pod Magic
How do the pea pods blossom and…
this is the mix so far, pending a new vocal to replace the guide and a 12-string part.
maybe a bit of piano?
lyrics from the muted vocal are about seeing the ex you upended your life to help out in the arms of another. cheery!
tik-tok…
I like how the bass and drums are mixed in this. Sounds like some of the snare hits weren't synced up with the bass a few times, but should be fairly easy to fix.
This is a composition that uses indeterminacy with respect to pitch (and instruments but since this is one recording that doesn't apply). However, all of the other musical elements are controlled. This performance occurred at the Praxis Xenharmonic…
Some of these sounds reminded me of U2's Zoo Station, where they intentionally wanted people to think their stereos were broken... although you track in this case sounds a lot more organic... nice work.
I'm redoing this one even though I just re did it. With more content and absolutely redoing the vocals. Didn't like how they turned out as much as I wanted them too.
Mellow morning mist fall
Melting into day
This summer said son, you are lazy
Don’t follow any example, break every rule
After awhile you’ll find it’s so easy to do
Just stay within the limits of your love
Soon the air will turn colder…

One of my fav's of yours. I listen to this one almost every week. ;)
The Cline brothers, really? Would love to hear more about that someday. Nels seems a bit subdued, but still great.
hey like this, man. this is a great track.

I decided to beef up and lengthen the end-point's 'moment of madness' once again thanks for the help guys :)
Very nice.

I like the treatments on the horn. The rhythm brothers are spot on, as usual.
been listening to too much John Lee Hooker? Raw sound but good.
my work friend just said, "Star Wars!"
Great track mate.
That is really nicely done Colin.
Very tender and powerful. Beautiful work.
Glad you found it, played it like a pro. Very nice.
This stuff is great.
