I took some lessons from Judd in the late 90's. During my first lesson he came to my house (in his van!) and asked me what I wanted to get out of the lessons. I stupidly answered to play like John Coltrane. He said, "Well, that ain't gonna happen!", but then he took the time to explain why. I gave him a complicated e flat book of songs that was given to me by my late uncle Hort Warner (who played sax professionally in the Waterbury area), thinking he would use it more than me. I always wanted to ask Judd for the book back but missed that opportunity. RIP Judd.
My buddy was making a Christmas album back in 1999 featuring all our local South Bay SoCal luminaries. My friend Paul had an original song. And I said hey, I have an original song too and my buddy said my grandma needs to hear this record that sounds too dirty so that’s a flat out no. Well sometime has passed and it’s time to release this one. I’m planning on a 10 inch record release and downloads by Christmas time. You never know when you get a viral Christmas hit and this one is pretty risky, but I love it.
Way back in 2001 a girl who lived in my building flirted with me and said I look just like Robert Pollard from guided by voices. I didn’t see it until recently and when I saw them play in 2023 finally I was like oh I totally look like him. This is my favorite song of theirs. I’m not trying to make money off of this. Everyone I just wanted to post it and I will ask for permission before I make my actual product. Thank you very much.
