Written for an upcoming Blues competition as one of several songs being considered for the contest. I sprung this on my friend Chris, without warning last night and pushed the record button.

Oh it caught me by surprise
I Looked into your pretty eyes
Nothing more than a simple kiss
And a moment like this
We don’t need no fancy cars
Diamond Rings that shine like stars
You never really asked for more

I wrote this song 5 years ago and have recorded a new version of it every year since (I think). This version features a Baritone 8 String guitar and Mandolin.
This is a mess but when we tried to clean it up it killed the spirit of it so we decided to just take off our critics hat and just enjoy the energy of it.

My baby say she loves me. Gonna love me forever…
Another old one. I sort of call it my 'Ram' moment !!! As if !! Anyway, I can remember I wrote this 3 or 4 weeks after my mother passed away. Yeh, I know, a strange song to write, I like to think I was celebrating her life. She was a great Mum…

All the recording/looping/synth were done on my iphone, using Loopy and Animoog app. Some post processing in Logic. The 12 string is tuned to C6.
This track is from the 1986 Scartaglen album "The Middle Path". The first tune "Jezaig" was composed by Breton musician Gilles Le Bigot. The second tune is one of the "Cantigas de Santa Maria" and is attributed to King Alfonso X of Spain

I stopped back for another listen this morning! "The Minstrel Show" goes good with a cup of Coffee.
I noticed the '39 Ford. My Dad used to have one. I remember sitting on the bumper with my shotgun as he drove it down the dirt roads in the evening. We always got a couple grouse for dinner that way. I was probably around 10 years old.
A remake of an old song, this is my version as I wrote it. Going to get the Good wife to record her version. Fight, Fight !!! Looking back Imspired of course by the Good wife, also we had just saw The Jersey Boys on stage at the West End. What…

Yesterday (Now, many years ago) Rick Babb came over to Fort Worth to deliver some equipment to Bass Hall for a concert. We had dinner and…
Another gem. You got me laughing.

Roger . . . You might have to start practicing if you want to keep up with Fran!
Good message Terry! I have to confess though, I was thinking about the last "Hot Dog" picture you sent me, while I was listening to your new song.
Great message, and good positive vibe, wrapped in an enjoyable melody. Nice one Roger!

Good one Roger! You mentioned "Remake" but I don't believe I've heard it before.
I'm on my second listen. It's very interesting but totally unexpected. Something about it is very facinating. It might be the driving rhythmn.
This reminds me of when we used to play together. Sometimes I miss that.
I just found this! Buck , , , you are the Master. Absolutely beautiful.
