I had fun singing this at the open mic this past week.

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen to one of my sloppily recorded ideas! I have had the worst time with basic song construction and even coming up with more than one verse or chorus and then completely loosing my drive. I'm not under the impression that my riffs or ideas for songs suck or anything but I fell cumbersome because I have no endgame and without a point , what's the point right?? ;) anyway, that leads me to my reason for swinging by at the moment, thank you tremendously for the kind words on "4 the kisses...." I waswondering if you would consider putting a vocal track to it please? I understand fully if you can't or simply don't want to, but if you do..... !!!!!!! I would be eternally greatful and for the rest of my stay at alonetone.com I would consider naming my 1st born Greg
LYRICS:
With Or Without You
Try to get along but it takes two
It’s a Whole lot of me and not much you
Working myself right to the bone
Thinking that I am all alone
Just like a monkey up in the tree
Throwing your feces straight…
.
Full moon, full of mystery
Full moon, shadows thru the trees
I can feel your spell, I’m beggin at you please
So long I been straight and true
No wrong has come into view
I can feel that dark side, all because of you
Way down…
Pleasure boats and fishermen
Tugboat pushin three barges wide
Sit on the banks from morn till evening
Wave to the people as they pass me by
Up in Minnesota she’s fast and cold
Walleye fishing just below the dam
Go and catch em til…
TRUE STORY
Here comes Ernest he say how you want your eggs
Don’t matter what you say to me, don’t care how much you beg
This here is my damn place and you are just a passing through
You’re lucky just to be alive cause I don’t care about…

Looks like your How to Assemble has reached 100 plays, and all 5 Currently Kicking Ass tunes are STILL How to Assemble songs, but your is on top. Congrats -- I'd call that a hit, and you are once again "The Featured Artist" -- and that's a damn good choice!
Fellow alone toner Gary Talbott kindly volunteered to add some of his own vocals and strings to this song, so I gladly took him up on it. Fun to keep evolving this one. Thanks Gary!
This one's a bit of a ponderous beastie.
It can be whatever you want it to be. For me, it's got a lot to do with Sunday 18th June 1815.

A BIG, BIG thank you to Wildgeas who took my simple acoustic guitar song and turned it into a beautiful work of art. Arrangements and Production done magnificently by Paul Lennon (Wildgeas). Also, special thank you to Bethan who put her sweet…
Greg Connor added his amazing harp to the song. It really adds depth to it. I love Greg's playing on the song. Thanks so much, Greg! This is why Alonetone is great.

Here is a Steve Krell song.
Buck Erpestad and I recorded live using two acoustic guitars.
Here is a link to Steve's original version : http://alonetone.com/slkrell/tracks/saskatchewanshostalconnorkrell
This might be my favorite SLKrell song.
This is an impromptu version that Buck & I played with the tape rolling.

The local songwriters were in my living room earlier this week, and we had a great night. We recorded a live version of this song I posted earlier this month, and I thought you'd enjoy hearing Colin W, Greg C and Scott Z playing and singing too!
I'm just now, this morning, listening to this with nice speakers.
This is a *GREAT* Song, and I'm so impressed with the quality of the recording from that little Tascam recorder.
The blend of vocals, bass, rhythm and lead sounds balanced to me.
It feels like we accomplished something!

I wrote this song for my sister who got married last June. I performed it at her wedding reception. It's about going through dark times, depression, and the power of love that gets you through the pain.
This was the result of a recent EM class. We had to combine audio and digital instruments. The two classical guitar tracks are of course the audio portion. Used Logic X for the other instruments. Hope you enjoy.
Hi Johnny,
I've been taken by this song. I hope you don't mind, I wrote some lyrics to go with it.
Adeline you’re the reason why
I greet the sun in the morning sky
You’re the reason that I’d walk a mile
Just to see your perfect smile
It’s just a feeling that I get from you
It’s everything that we’ve been through
I’m the most happy when I’m here with you
I only hope that you can feel it too
We’ll watch the stars together you and I
And when you say you love me I’ll reply
I can’t imagine what my life would be
If you weren’t here with me
Reaching out I hope you take my hand
We’ll make each day together something grand
Because I want to spend my life with you
Until our days are through
Adeline you’re the reason why
I greet the sun in the morning sky
More from the archives. This was the opening cut on Scartaglen's 1986 album "The Middle Path". A double jig, a slip jig, and 2 reels. I played bouzouki and Uilleann pipes on this cut
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff
Love this song!!!
Big smiles here, as I'm partial to the Celtic sound. Lovely playing on all the instruments!

Love the Chorus!
Pretty Good! Sounds just like an old record.
Good Stuff! A twist on a classic!
Beautiful song Melissa! I remember you singing this last summer. You played it on Bill Mann's guitar. Beautiful, touching, heartfelt song!
Rich sounds all the way through. I love the sound of both guitars supported by the orchestration.
Wow! This really got my attention. Well done Willis.
