Recorded Last Friday - I sprung this song on Mark Imsdahl while we were playing music together.
I thought he did pretty good for never hearing the song before.

@ Mark Imsdahl . . . .
I knew there was another verse to this song.
Just for everyone's information, Mark was with me last Friday when we went to meet Steve Krell at the airport.
Breakfast became quite entertaining. Ernest hit us with everything he had, and in the end became our friend . . . well . . . maybe not Steve's friend.

Wrote this song yesterday after another long week of crummy news in the world and had the good fortune of the Minnesota song writers in my living room tonight to help me bring it to life. Greg Connor - on the cigar beat box, Colin Walterson on…
Great Song! You have a lot going on here!
I love the lonely feel of this and how it evolves throughout the song.
Outstanding Lyrics: *"And I run a/c
with the windows down"* & *"Tripping on the wires at the edge of your farm"*
I like the bass line. Nice contribution to the *"Who Knew"* Challenge.

Greg Connor added his amazing harp to the song. It really adds depth to it. I love Greg's playing on the song. Thanks so much, Greg! This is why Alonetone is great.

I count my blessings…
I struggled to get this thing completed. I've been sat on it for weeks, finished, debating whether I was really prepared to let it go.
I loved the song when I wrote it, inspired by a wonderful week at the end of September. But the recording…
Recorded live at my friend Colleen's studio in the clouds with Scott on the mandolin, Greg on guitar, Collin on bass, Colleen on ukulele. Thanks for a fun challenge!
This is a rough cut, but I like it. Here are the lyrics:
TOMORROW WILL BE YOU
It’s been a long time since I saw you
I’m at a loss for words
But when I heard the news
I went straight to your room
There’s no point in looking…

One of my first experiments with DADGAD tuning. I was hoping to get a dark, droning sound. I lived in Missouri for a lot of years and this sounds like what it feels like to be out in the sticks there.
Great Beginning! Very inviting to listen to. It just pulled me in.
Excellent contribution to the Song Writing Challenge!

My apologies to Ray Willie Hubbard. This sounds nothing like his great version of this. All instruments played by me, in studio.
This was before I discovered the usefulness of a pop filter.
Chris sent me over this track and i got to wondering what i could do to add to it. The tragedy of the Russian plane flying back from Egypt came to mind .....

Still Good!
*Another Masterpiece Andrew!* Very unique and interesting.
Lots of energy! I love it!
I have the feeling there is a lot of the story not told, on purpose. That vagueness is very effective here. My imagination is running wild.
Whoooo Hooooo! This is darn good!
Beautiful! As I was playing this my wife took an interest too! She loves the piano.
Big full sound.
Oooh . . . That gave me a chill. Interesting mood music and affects.
Replay . . . . Again!
