Stevie Ray is the reason why I picked up my guitar in the first place. I did my best to mimic him throughout my short 8 months of guitar playing, then I realized I was going nowhere. So instead, I sought to develop a style which would make Stevie…
This is the only track where I played all the instruments you hear. Otherwise I just stick to singing and playing my lame guitar. Also, this is another first in the sense that I have kept the original song mechanics intact in one of my covers…
I made this song in fond remembrance of Kurt Cobain, who has been an inspiration for me musically. While there's no musical brilliance at work, I tried to retain the original tone of the song with a dirty little white noise in the background…
Thank you Steve Cross for coming up with with the perfect drum and rhythm track. This guy did it exactly according to my specifications.
As for the song itself, it's different music. You need a certain level of musical talent to comprehend…

An EVH-inspired instrumental. I couldn't come up with a fancier name, so Boogie Train it is! This is straight up Hard Rock 80s style. No dabbling in other genres to mess up this song. Heh. Leave some comments if you please. Believe it or not…
The best music is always created in a burst of emotion, when the passion is still hot and your heart burns with fire. I finished this song in just one night, in my frantic attempt to capture the emotions I felt then.

Lose the tremolo - makes the vocals sound weak. Otherwise fantastic. Retains the flavour of the original and its barely suppressed violence, though with a dreamy bluesy guitar; if this was deliberate, was it intended to be ironic, considering the lyrics? I wish you were here so that we could discuss it in details.

Thanks for your comment on my song a while back. I like this song, a a lot. The building of intensity in the first few minutes is really well done. I do have a question. Are you going to credit William Ernest Henly (probably no relation to Don) for your use of his entire poem "Invictus"?

Eerie, disturbing, lulls you with the first few bars into a sense of security and your comfort zone only to rip apart the illusions and render you forever, an unquiet soul.
Respect.

The idea was to create something with a bit of the flavor from Bach's Passacaglia in C Minor (and especially the orchestral transcription by Respighi). I didn't quite hit the mark, but it was a really fun project.

This is my first track ever with vocals. Yes this is my voice, no I do not take credit for this amazing song. Frank Sinatra is such an awesome person.
This stays true to the big band original with some differences in the words and wordings…
Live piano, no sequencing, its just my fingers, music made up on the fly. This is me just being creative, its how I "write" my music.
2nd track of flute is also played live over the piano.

This track dates back to 2012, when I was in the process of recording my 2nd album, "The Only Way to Build is to Tear Down," in a super run down shack, while seriously broke. On the other hand, that was the last album I really did multitracking…
This is a piece written for 37signals, made to accompany a [fun video they did on Letterpress printing](http://37signals.com/svn/posts/2795-a-letterpressed-thank-you)

debz. this is my favourite song from you. I still don't understand it, but I love it!!! :P - VV
best cover of this I've seen, anytime, anyday. Better than Opeth, I daresay. Your vocals are beautiful. :)
The vocals sound awesome to me. I haven't a single negative critique to offer. It all works for me -- Rock on!
Very nice solo. Great.
Yeah, this one really works for me -- haunting yet gorgeous, always an intriguing combination. Great job -- Rock on!
Digging your picking style -- sweet!
Yes, I love it -- Rock on!
You have an interesting approach to doing vocal tracks -- certainly out of the box. Your instrumental tracks are quite tasty.
The vocal track peaks in a few places, but otherwise it's a beautiful mix down.

That makes total sense! Again, really good song!

just by listening you work that instrument, I learn a lot. Thanks a lot for sharing your work.
this piece bursts to life at the 2:40 mark. Superb composition. Loved the song dynamics.
that's all harmonics? Wow. I learnt a new way to apply them now, thanks to you.
This website is such a humbling experience. Such beautiful music everywhere. Beautifully done, sir.
This foot-tappingly good stuff! A refreshingly different song.
your vocals have certainly got that old-world feel to it. Very interesting, I'd say.
Groovy as hell!
Hey Jason!! This one is beautiful!! Always thrilled to see another SRV fan. You nailed this song.
you really know how to play that reverb :D Awesome stuff. I love experimental music like this.
Nicely done! I loved it.
this needs work, but it has got serious potential! Personally for me, the guitar and the vocals fall flat. But the entire idea is brilliant.
Got this Sicilian vibe to it. One of the better compositions I've heard in quite a few years.
this is made for instant radioplay! Just touch up on the vocals. The guitar is beautifully underplayed.
I'd take guitar lessons from you. Beautiful. So beautiful.
Let me tell you. This is good stuff. I love new ideas like this. Well done, very well done indeed.
