A lonely, slow, tune... with a forlorn and sometimes tense distorted guitar (actually my bass). Good music to listen to as you zone out and stare into space.
Melodic, peaceful, and trance-inducing instrumental. Used a synth clav as the underlying thematic instrument, then layered a few other things on top. The "guitar" counter-melody at the end is me playing a bass in the upper registers.

Chorus is NSFW. Inspired by responses to one of my Facebook status updates requesting suggestions for song ideas. I incorporated all of the ideas offered. Took less than 2 hours, start to finish, to write and record. I really like the synth melodies…
Love the keyboard sounds.. is that the old keyboard? damn I love that keyboard. Not mention very catchy and bouncy. I already see the flames reflected in my eyes - would make a fun music video!

Rhythmic groove with bass and "guitars". In addition to the obvious bass track, the two distorted "guitar" tracks are actually also basses, EQ'ed and altered with various effects to sound less bassy and more guitary.

Rough mix of a work in progress that has been gestating since late May 2013. still working out the lyrics/vocal parts. dunno if there will eventually be keys and/or synths.
"Danse Macabre (first performed in 1875) is the name of opus 40 by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns."
synths used:
- Korg DW-8000
- Roland D-50
- Emu Proteus 1000
the last time i will EVER do this much tedious MIDI sequencing. so over it…
That sounds like a lot of work. Probably a great learning experience, but yeah I imagine you're not interested in doing that sort of thing again anytime soon!
Despite your adversarial attitude towards robots, I enjoyed this tune a lot. Let the record show that I, for one, welcome my eventual robot overlords and will refuse to fight them unless they instruct me to do so in order to amuse other robots.
This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
This is a minor blues I wrote for the quintet Equilibrium in 2010. I wrote it to impress my red headed girlfriend who I had just started dating at the time.
First demo of the finished Novaphone 340 Grand instrument (v1.0.4) including some of the sample content that will be released with the final instrument. In this case I used 5 samples of a Reaktor based drone generator by [nofi](http://soundcloud…

Inspired by the french movie titled "The Element Of Crime." This is basically a night in the studio for some musical therapy via studio jam with myself.
Sometime yesterday, sandbags posted "In the Ocean of Night".
Fuelled by a lovely walk and some pints, I was inspired to make some additions.
Technical/process details:
Guitar was my Michael Kelly going into GT-10 which had compressor, delay…
The title came to me as I was listening to the track and was reminded of looking through [Savage's](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) telescope at a starry sky and us being completely unable to figure out how to get it aligned :)
The title itself…
Nice! I really like this so far. Only suggestions I have are to try messing with the sound of your synth lead with more than just pitch bend, e.g. instead of pitch bend sometimes try jacking with the resonance or cutoff, modulation/LFO, or using other effects briefly (echo/delay, different eq levels of hi/lo-pass filters, etc.)
This is the first piece made with a Reaktor instrument I built today that I have called "Xylo".
Xylo is a sampler that plays a region of the sample back and forth with a 10s release time. Each note defines a region of a different length (but…
this is the mix so far, pending a new vocal to replace the guide and a 12-string part.
maybe a bit of piano?

I like how the bass and drums are mixed in this. Sounds like some of the snare hits weren't synced up with the bass a few times, but should be fairly easy to fix.

I wish I could say that I had a story behind this but I have none :( Thanks to all those that put their input into this, particularly GCD, I cannot overstate how helpful this was.
Comments on Galileo's Cough Drop's stuff
Sounds GREAT. I miss that Roland Juno-106.
Woah, car chase!
Cool!
Oddly fits my mood today as I stare out the window looking at the rain. Nice one!
WOW. I love the sounds and percussion in this one. Excellent work.
oh, and the upper registers of the bass sounds awesome.
very peaceful.
oh sorry - GREAT SONG. I do like it. Very peaceful. I imagine I am travelling to the moon... fun.
Yeah and the Catholic Church was very quick to absolve him too. I believe they came around in 1992 or 1994.

Great stuff. Nice to hear a new track from you

This is great. I picture the credits rolling on a movie like "A Clockwork Orange"... love it!
Awesome ambience.
Brilliant chorus. This is disturbingly catchy, given its facebook origins. :-)
Man I love your stuff. It's atmospheric, nice timbres, great beat. Hope you've got more to upload!
Good music to make you want to zone out and stare into space :)
Love this one.
Lovely.
Wonderful stuff. Suits my mood perfectly on this rainy afternoon

Nice groove!
Oh man, I love this. Tastefully overdriven, and some bits that very pleasantly remind me of some Raymond Scott experimental sound generators.
I dig it. Has an epic feel.

Simple and propulsive. A wonderful combination.

What a great way to start catching up on my listening backlog! Really enjoyed listening to this.
Very nice! Well-played, too.
Atmospheric! Made me nostalgic for some old Tangerine Dream albums. (That's a good thing.)
Nice! Brilliantly executed, sir.
Relaxing. Fit today's mood perfectly, thanks!
Fun with wah. I dig it. :)
Fantastic complement to the original track!
Ethereal bells and grit! Can't go wrong with that, IMO. Wonderful instrument you've created, Mr. Bags.

Nice soundscape. Shimmer was a great addition!

That's a nice burble you got there, mister. I like what you did with it. :)
I like when this settles down into an epic drone. Unfortunately, it sounds like the aliens also have houseflies! Or perhaps ARE houseflies. Hrmm.
I like your rework! Feeling much more solid. :D
