Hi all,
Recently I got a micron, loving the sounds, but keen to edit more quickly.
I downloaded a bunch of the free editors but no luck so far (bPanels / CTRL).
Can anyone recommend software that is free, runs on windows 7, is standalone or runs within ableton live?
Also wondering if the “patch a day” blog has a consolidated page where you can get all of the patches at once.
Cheers,
I just started learning the piano towards the end of 2012 and am loving it. Composition has taken a back seat for now but thought I'd share my first original piano composition (and live recording) with you all.
While I was converting the file…
This is really a true story.
No, really...
And our holiday gift to you & your friends. (Feel free to download it and share it with anyone who you think might enjoy it.)
Oh... by the way... acl is finally waking from a very deep slumber…
This is my big production number from my 2009 RPM Challenge album "Relative Polyphonic Mutiny" that features Philly rapper Marvelous. It's a rockin uptempo affair that has a beat you can dance to.
Like Rob and Laura, I can't believe that this album is the product of a month's work, fantastic stuff. And this is the standout song for me. And really nice cover too, maybe I'll stop praising you now! :-)
somewhere around 3 minutes you should here the sound of people chopping down a tree in the Peruvian Amazon turn into the beat of the song. This song was somewhat influenced by Kim Hiorthøy.
Great drum programming, great feel to the electronica sounds, and then through all that an organic whistling which is at once out of tune and possibly the most beautiful melody ever! Fantastic track.
It aint like no ones done this before
But how can you tire of beautiful chords
In the fifties
In Tenessee
Where my love

Two young men upped and
crossed the yard

This one was inspired by Wen's mom; and is therefore dedicated to all those musicians doing RPM, and all musicians who toil away at home to make their music despite what their friends & co-workers might think of their efforts.
love this! and yeah, the surf guitar was cool. uhh uhhhh uhhh uhhhhhh uhhhh like its so cool. uhhh hhhhhh uhh uhhhhhhh (don't you just love Beavis and Butthead?! Reminded me of them)
This is maybe the first track written entirely by This Caustic Autumn as a group effort. I'd been to see Sigur Ros play at Massey Hall in Toronto the night before we wrote this, so that's where the idea for the bowed Les Paul came from. Other…
This is the first cover song I've ever really recorded in my 15 years of playing and recording.
The guitar and voice are each full continuous takes, I didn't want to do comping (copy and pasting), though the vocal harmony parts were done in…
Wow, thanks for everyone's comments and thanks for the link Rewind, listening to it now. I went to uni in Glasgow for a year and loved it and always love going back. If you spend any time there it reeks of atmosphere. Good luck with your homage, look forward to hearing it!

Very Cool Track
Great atmosphere - playful synth over darker undertones.
Gentle, sweet, pretty, lovely, delightful, moving, relaxing, meditative.
Really dig this
Far out! A groovy composition, and I dig the superb mix down and mastering. The psychedelic seasoning is delicious.
Very interesting listen - had no idea where it was going at the beginning but then it pulled together cleverly. The vocal elements work brilliantly.
Thank you. So refreshing and tender.
Big fan of the new songs.
Love this. Really beautiful.
Your voice is very soothing, I am so relaxed!
Good one.
Great vocal panning. Nice vocals in general. Your instrument texture is spot on.
Another moody masterpiece. Love the bass line.
Liking your dream.
Magical, intimate, hopeful. (Ooh, nice accent. Why am I surprised it's Scottish?)
FANTASTIC!! Love how the understated guitar melody punctuates the mood here. This is wonderful song-writing, and the arrangement is IMHO perfect.
Evocative vocal poured over heart-stealing music...wow!
Strings work like a charm here. Lovely deep, dreamy vocal also.
Lovely flavours, meditative and soothing.

A really lovely song. My only experience of Iron and Wine was their album with Calexico which is amazing so will check out more!
Any analog gear involved in this? The beat is gorgeous and oh so simple!
