Andrew Russe (86.155.32.98) said Thursday Short but very sweet... These short ones encourage me to add all sorts of extra meaning myself as I'm listening. That's kinda what happens when we listen to songs anyway - no matter how much the lyrics are designed to lead us to certain conclusions or "points of view"... a song never really says what the songwriter thinks it says ... but these short ones encourage this "listener completes the song" process even more, they let my mind run free ... love it.

:) I wondered if that was the case - but then the "oh here's some words, whatever, at least they rhyme" often speak the loudest to the listeners! ... It's just gone 8am here. Just seen Mrs R off (her boss collects her - she's a nanny), I've been working since 6.15am... doesn't look like the sun is actually coming out today here!

Here's an instrumental folk Celtic sort of tune I made today. Guitar, bass, pennywhistle, mandolin, bodhran. Took about 4 hours to record all the parts properly. The result is a delightful minute and a half, I think!

"Fireflies." has a stellar intro, and then you woot he listener in with your crooning and compelling vocals. I have always loved the topic of fireflies and your hook about chsing fireflies in the htickets of two hearts is Phenomenal.
