JQ- What a great song! Classic JMT! He paints masterpieces in my mind with words! "The less I know the more the memories wither... Like leaves in Autumn falling from the trees." What a great line!
DEAR PEGGY
Dear Peggy,I thot you'd like to know
That blue tile in our bathroom you said would have to go
I replaced with the slate that we bought at Home Depot
mmmmm mmmmm
Dear Peggy, The heat has killed the lawn
And water is so expensive…
I'm playing catch-up and, aww, this is wonderful. So sad but not mawkish or depressing (I have something a bit like it that I gave up trying to record a while back - this gives me hope, I might try mine again).
This song is just what it is and says what it says.
It's where I am and where my hopes lie. It all just happens to fit into a song...

A very different sort of song – interesting, sad lyrics, cool use of echo, nice, brief lead break. Painful but somehow sweet too. Good job of songwriting, but I hope you can get over Peggy – not meaning to get you started….

This is a true story. Cody even permitted me to use his name.
Cody is a cowboy, a horseman, that’s for sure
Traded in his guitar for long John underwear
Every day he pulls his boots almost to his knees
Oh, Cody is a cowboy…
Thanks for sharing the facts behind the song. I think you should include this information in the "about" section of the song page, above the lyrics. People need to know this is a true story. I'm glad you wrote it, it's a story that needed told, but it is sad.

This is a song about losing a friend. It was written after I attended her funeral. I am the type of artist given to bouts of self-examination, and this song is a result of one of those bouts.

I'm a big big girl

It's not a big big thing if u leave me
But I do do feel

The big game dev company that made final Fantasy also made this beautiful number. THe music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda was at its best. I feel like I couldn't be any closer to the edge of my seat otherwise.

Wizard...like your description of the song CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT. I wouldn't tell that to the lady that sang it but I find it charming and your comment apt.
This is a Ralph Mctell song , a very underated British singer / songwriter , probably famous for one song , The Streets of London , but in fact wrote many great songs , he wrote this while working on a building site before he was signed by a record…
This was my very first attempt at recording , done on two tracks , me picking and vox , AK rhythm , then me adding a harmony vocal , a bit basic but a Traffic song i've allways loved
Your mics are doing what they need to do: clear vocal and all words understandable. Good clean rendering of your song. I like your voice and your song. Heart science isn't rocket science.
Gotta be some Dylan in your background. Reminds me of some of the songs on his John Wesley Hardin album.
Thanks for your comment on I WONDER. I have redone it since you listened to it. I have to post things and listen to them to find out what I need to do the finish them. j mt

Wow. Just, wow...

Yep, that's the way I was taught to milk a cow. Cute song!
This is really good.
Wow so lonely," Only you knew" great vocal right there. The guitar break pure George Harrison. Well hell I like it old stranger

Well written and performed . . . but so sad.

I dig westerns, and I like this music and the way you strum and sang it. But the lyrics, the story told, is quite sad.
Love that echo...
Fantastic! I seriously enjoyed this -- Rock on! very psychedelic, very trippy, and super delicious. Good stuff indeed!
I love it. Love Aya, too.
I dig this! Rock on! Very interesting -- captivating!
What a moving, visually evocative memory of your youth, your mare, and an early love! Your storytelling and music never fail to draw me in, Jim.
Great sentimental song/story.
WONDERFUL.

This one too. I thot it was the continuation of SEE MOLLY PLAY.'
Someone should do an animation to go with this...it is very evocative. So bright and airy.
Well said.
Yeah, it's about staying sane and trying to live forever but I repeat myself.
Touching.
Really a grabber. Like it!
Very pensive. A sad urgency.
I've been listening to your songs for several hours. The way you do them is very restful. Nice voices and very peaceful sounds.
"Looking in her eyes is like looking in a mirror..." cool line.
I like this every time I listen to it and I listen to it about once a week.
I can see myself walking down a dirt road just enjoying the wildflowers and dodging grasshoppers as I hum this one to myself.
I'd like to see the video to this one.
Cool. You got me to singing along.
Really like the bass sound. The phasie feel.
Wizard...like your description of the song CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT. I wouldn't tell that to the lady that sang it but I find it charming and your comment apt.
Immediately drawn by the vocal sound on this. So full and resonant. Still can understand the lyric. Like the first person thing you do.
You've got your machinery working well. Like your version of this old song.
