For the record, nothing is out of "format" for alonetone. If it is uploadable, and you made it then it is worth listening to. Bring it on. (I mean it, I really enjoy listening to your stuff)

I am singing/vocalizing audio to accompany short scenes in a film made by an artist friend of mine. She calls it "Pattern Pattern". This segment goes with a snowy scene where shadows move in and out like wolves.

Thank you. The film is a series of observations of patterns in the world. Foam on the windshield in a carwash, a tarp blowing in the wind, that sort of thing. I am improvising the music as I watch each vignette. A glorious project!

This montage is about making music and what it means to people. It uses comments from a number of classical musicians interviewed for a radio series I record and produce called "The Main Street Sessions". The music is from "The Gospel of Thomas…

Oh wow! Jennifer, I'm very very happy you found alonetone. Seeing all of your wonderful and positive comments has really brought me smiles over the last few days - and this track is just simply great to listen to, a well produced tribute.
@glu - Yes, back! Listening more than contributing, but back! Brevard is a little jewel. White squirrels, water falls, music festival and all. Thanks for listening.
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
This program was created for "The Mobcast", podcast of Mobtown Modern, as an introduction to the theme of our third season opening concert, "Loopy", at the Metro Gallery in Baltimore, 9/16, 8 pm.

For my friend and coworker, because he certainly deserves it.

More vocalizing and mashing for the soundtrack for my artist friend's film, "Pattern Pattern." This accompanies a scene of lights flashing in and out of sequence.
A simple 3-part "round" or canon with variations, showing my children how you can devise a melody that can stack on top of itself like offset puzzle pieces, which will then make its own harmony (with a nod to the master of rounds and fugues, J…
While I was a grad student in the Boston area, I performed regularly with an Afro-Caribbean drumming group called the Jah Jah Drummers. It was during this time that I first began making beats in hip-hop and dub styles. This was recorded at the…
Got into a bit of a mess recently and, well, this is me not doing anything about it (except sitting here and recording this, eh). I really need an acoustic with pickups.
Aw, glu! Man. I've been missing out on your excellent output. Sorry to be absent from alonetone so long. (Been working my a$$ off.) This is terrific. Listening for the elephant...love that whispery, swishy rainy sound that motors through here. Great atmosphere.
This is a remastered version of DJam, uploaded previously, with Darrin Kobetich on mandolin. Look him up on myspace, he's an incredible guitarist! I am playing a National Estralita resonator tuned to double drop-D.
Comments on jennifer's stuff
Excellent! I love it

Thanks, Sudara. I know radio pieces are a little out of "format" for the site, but they're the audio I'm making, so I figure it's fair to share.
Inspiring, Jennifer. Keep posting these productions, I really enjoy listening to them, for both the music and the words. Shosti is a favorite of mine.
Thank you! More clips on the way. The film is months from being ready, but we'll find a way to share!
Beautiful!
Wow! I love this.
To Mr. E: Sure, feel free to use the track! Thanks for giving a hoot. I've got a few more tracks in the works I'll upload later.
i loved it.very cool and different.can i use it?

Haunting and beautiful. I'd love to see the film.
An excellent montage - filled with excellent quotes... sums the subject up nicely!
Thank you. I'm glad I'm here, too! What a feast. Free audio buffet!
so glad you're on here.
Thank you Jennifer, a great encouragement to all music makers, found and unfound.
Thanks for being so encouraging....your comments really lift my spirit. Thank-you. Have a wonderful evening!
Thanks for listening. Peace and Blessings... E n V o L

Really like your aesthetic.

Prelude to...(hopefully) More From etsiegel! Nice!
@ K. Scot & mmi: Thank you!
Just flat beautiful.
Loop currency? You're a rich man.
SCHPANGLER! This is schpanky. I love it.
When are you going to write something I can't like?
Smartly wistful. No clutter. I really like it.
Lured back to alonetone after a long hiatus. Rewarded with Falling Stars.
Bravo!
Perfect pacing, as usual.
Wanted to shout a quick "thanks!" to ic42. Sure do appreciate the feedback.
Nicely done!
Music to my ears.
I like my art cruchy like this.
Whatever the mess was you were in, if it produced this, it was worth it.

I love the sound this combination of instruments makes. Makes me think of some of my favorite movies...and places.
Classic voice. Beautiful. Such a collection of souls and spirits.
