i'm not sure if i like this song. it has a ruff sort of flow and recording. i was thinking of adding some mellow synth backing to help it sound full but i don't want to start that now, so i wont.

their aren't many things that take "it puts me to sleep" as a complement. i think this song takes it wonderfully.

Hey, this is on the Nautilus CD! I like both versions :) Yes, I'm much closer to Seattle than Yakima, unfortunately. That's cool, how often are you in these parts?
collin wrote this song last year. as far as i understand it is about passion and how its easy to fall in line and loose that drive of creativity. tell me what YOU think it means :D enjoy.
Fantastic production on this one.. Very immersive, and it makes good use of both the left and the right channel.
The only thing you may want to do is use noise reduction on the track to remove the background hiss.
once upon a time there was a beautiful princess, her name was christine. then this other random dude, i think he was a street sweeper wrote her a song and sang it to her on late october eavning. he then asked her to commit to love and they have…
This is an absolutely beautiful song written by Jon Foreman for his side project Fiction Family and I felt like givin it a shot soo I just kinda learnt it and threw it together theres a few flubbups but they kinda workout well in the end

This is an old one...just wanted to share it.
Do you feel the tears fall
fall from heaven
gathering as puddles at your feet
does it stain your shoes?
if i stay long...no I won't
i won't bare it any longer
do you feel the heart sigh…
OK it's the morning after the party at the China Quay, and our hero is waking up. What has happened?
Influenced by about 6 different doowop tunes (great for hangovers!)
thank you for the comment! i'm slowly learning how to make harmonies, some songs its just much harder on, and other just work themselves out almost... wierd. i sometimes use outside harmony help, i'll find a harmony on my guitar first or something to that nature...
This Song (Recorded and written in 06) done the conventional way. I Wrote the words 1st. I was thinking I would like to write a song kinda like those of the old days. Pretty straight forward and Not too abstract. I need to redo because the chorus…

hey thanks for the comment. what do you mean by "the spacial thing?" acctually, i'm not too pleased with how "a love song for the cursed" turned out, my friend who wrote it has an incredible voice so i guess its hard to match :D thanks again!
i think this is fairly self-explanitory...it was inspired by a line in The Brothers Karamazov, which went on to examining myself and my tendencies as a sinner.
From today's one hour session:
acoustic guitar, fretless electric bass, tabla, tambourine, and the synthesque sound is the electric guitar played with a violin bow
The acoustic version in rough of Often hide with part of a song written back when I was putting my mind back together, it goes as a pair with Hammers. Sorry for the glitches, the MAC chirped in a battery warning during the recording, I would avoid…
kinda frightened rabbit bright eyes inpired.
threw it together.
my friend ran over my computer so i have to record this on whatever computer i can get at the time, so its not dont all that great, took about a n hour..
jiggles, you can record without that watery sound by going to your settings and turn off the setting that cuts extra noise. this haunted my music for ages before i figured it out. keep writing, i like it. it reminds me of bar style singalong. i love.
I name each instrument track that I lay down when creating a song. Sometimes it's simple, like "Bass" or "Drum Kit," but sometimes I get creative. "Breath of Men" was the name of one of the synth tracks on this song, and I ended up naming the…

by the way, i like the multiple guitar layers, its very rhythmic yet melodic!
