Song #2 for the RPMC. My goal is to have 12 short tunes (1-3 minutes long), so I need to pick up the pace.
Again, quartal tuning on the top 3 unison pairs of the 12 string. I've been listening to Ralph Towner's Blue Sun, hence the title.

I love this track... rambling is right! I'm loving the deconstruction going on from about 6 minutes in. *Stellar* minimalist soundscape you've created here. ;-) Well done!
My RPM challenge this year: acoustic guitar instrumental album with no more than three tracks on each tune (ok, maybe four!)
This one is a single track with no overdubs. On the 12 string, the 4th,5th and 6th string pairs are tuned a fourth apart.

Inspired by a gorgeous recording on a wax cylinder by the composer, Tanburi Cemil Bey (1873-1916).
Performed on politiki lyra (classic kemençe), a small bowed fiddle from Istanbul.
Recorded at The Banff Centre, November 2008.
Have you ever eaten ice cream too fast, got that headache and then you spilled the words out all wrong. Well that’s me.
I decided to dig my old Peavey Fury (bass) out of the closet several months ago. It’s been about 15 years since I had played…
I went into the studio to record something I wrote... I came out to find out that 32 students had been gunned down... I already had the mandolin song and melody with a writing direction... and this senseless evil really derailed the whole thing…
Something just broke and I think it's my heart
It wasn't an arrow. It wasn't a dart
It mighta been a meter that tore it apart
But, something just broke and I think it's my heart

24 hour EP more than 24 hours late. I was going to title it "Perpetual Interruptions EP" but I went for something more positive. Due to weird bug in some part of my set up, there is a kick drum in only one side of the stereo for the first few…
24 hours of music making for 2008.
Yup. This is a "Gaiman variation" which means that I stopped at 24 hours and this is what I've got. Not 24 min, but it is a "Noble Failure"

Nice! Like that change around 1:20. Interesting lead tone you got on this one too.
...and their bright spotlights attract me at night. Here I go...
Damn! How did I miss this. Great stuff man
Your fingerwork is pretty damn great!
I am so A-440. I see alternate tuning in my future. This is some sweet playing.
I like that Drop D, fragmented chord sound. The harmonics were a nice touch too.
One fine instrumental here, I see others agree
Kavin has twisted thoes tuners in a most intriguing way. super
Nice playing...

Love the sound of this instrument!
Sounds like the Dead. But better. Got anymore?
Fantastic. It's hard to maintain listener interest over 10 min. but you did it here.
@SisterSavage Thank you for the honor!
Great work. Thanks.
Just don't break the vocal chords. Love it.
Awright yawl! JMT is here!
Nice guitar textures, Limbo.
great atmospherics on this one!
Great listen from start to finish. Analog synths?
Re:Rewind Nobody Home?
The tranquil intro prepares you not for the electronic mayhem that ensues. Nice mellotron.
Hell of a good "failure". Is that Brian Eno speaking in the middle? The instrumental passages after that are stunningly beautiful.
