Farewell Old Friend
kirklynch
A simple solo acoustic guitar track for a dear departed four legged friend. Written 2005. Recorded Jan 9 2009.
I just realized I misread who was playing. I thought this was Kavin but realized this is an assortment of artists. Kirk apologies and as I said but indicated Kavin, but now for you, Gorgeous and Bachlike.
Kavin gorgeous and Bachlike.
I know I have gave your tunes an ear before...this is some magical stuff. I will be searching thru your catalog often...
thank you for this one, and for all inbetween -- we were chilling and watching the flood recede. cool....
This is one of those tracks that if you drift off to sleep while listening to it, you're almost guaranteed to have pleasant dreams. The fidelity of the recording is fantastic.
This is sooooooo good. Quick thanks to Kavin for bringing my attention back to this Kirk Lynch masterpiece.
Did you ever listen to John Renborne?
Did i really miss this?? WHAT?? Amazing man, love it. Just beautiful. Had to download this....it's incredible.
You are very quickly becoming one of my favorite musicians...yes, the muse indeed...in fact, our neighbors collie passed last night...our sheltie, Emmitt, is in his last days...heartfelt kirk...merci
This is just wonderfull , the tone you have is sublime , and the musicianship top class , a download for sure
You Have hit close to home with this beauty track. I just had to put my old dog (16y) and old cat (17y) down the same week, about a month ago. It is still raw with me. this song soothes my mind. Really lovely and recorded so well.
Really beautiful here, Kirk! Thanks as always for taking the time to listen.
Very nice song!! Your guitare play is excellent!
Hay varias razones para llamarlo "EL MAESTRO" pero esta debe ser una de las principales. (I want the score to try to play it here haha ;) cheers!!
Beautiful. Great sound too, very nice recording. Thank you, and thank you for the generous support.
Such a pleasure to know your music, Sir.
Beautiful guitar playing, but i kept waiting to hear lyrics!
Wow, sometimes an instrument can express so much more than words. This is incredible, and I am very envious of your immense talent with the instrument that I'm trying like hell to come to understand. Ah well... The conversations you have with your six strings are the kind that I can only hope to have in time.
This is the jewel in your crown for me. Absolutely beautiful.
Poor lil fella. Nice homage.
So beautiful. I listen to this often and always have to catch my breath. Just gorgeous.
Sweet!
I meant to just come here, thank you for noticing me, and let you know that I sorted out the uploading issue... I figured I'd give one of your songs a listen... What a great solo! I opened the menu to comment; the "about" opened first... You can really write for a mood.
This absolutely lifts me. I love your music, thanks for sharing it.
Great guitar track, sad story, sorry for your loss. Lives on in your song.
Goodness... very nice bright gitz. Makes me want to pick one up and play along. Such a welcoming tune. Wow... I'm not usually much for single instrument tracks. You've got so much expression in that guitar. Wait a sec... do I hear breaths? I'm sure you wanted that in the mix, right? Neat. The human feel is great!
I listened to a couple pieces and I'll certainly listen again. Nice work, great sound.
Very beautiful. I won't insult you with the comparisons to other players. I'll just say that you're up there with them.
Amazingly beautiful playing.
Kirk - beautiful and moving. If I could play acoustic like you I'd never touch anything else.
