Straight ahead stone city electric blues for an old friend who used to spend hours spinning BB King and Mike Bloomfield records for me. Recorded back sometime at the end of 2006 on old analog equipment
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…
Mining the archives a bit. This is an alternate take of my "Jimi Jam" from a couple of years ago. Live to 2 tracks with the Jamman. Really only sounds OK when cranked up loud enough that your eardrums threaten to meet in the middle. LOL!!

A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009

That really is, truly beautiful music. Excellent composition. Chordal melodic centers go unpredictable ways, and it is remarkably soothing. Keep writing!

the h4 and h4n are great. the mic's sound beautiful for the price played and most importantly (specifically the h4n) the capability and intuitive design is awesome.
the guitar sounds beautiful on it, and the composition is really well put together. amazing dynamics with your hands, good job!

You call that noodling around? That's some mighty fine noodling, Mr. Lynch...and yeah, DADGAD never gets old, though I still have a love for EBEGAD too.

Okay I need to say a few things. Please read before listening!
I did not do the 24 hour challenge but I did try and hang around in the chatroom as much as possible with Glu, SisterS, and ChrisM while they battled through it.
At about midnight…
This will maybe sound crazy, but I can hear just adding low drone in places and then a big ominous synth wash over the top. Don't trash it- it's got a lot of possibility!
Written, recorded, and mixed in 24 hours. August 01-02, 2009, from 6am to 6am.
Instrumentation: Two acoustic guitars, electric guitar (picked and bowed), fretless bass, about 7 different flutes, two tabla drums, rattles, tambourine, didgeridoo…

OK- I'll admit I didn't listen to the whole thing, but I did hear about 6 minutes of it and it's interesting stuff! If I knew a tithe of what you do about manipulating sounds in software I'd be a league ahead of where I am!!
NOT FINISHED. another draft. just putting it up here so that i kick myself in the pants to flesh it out and write verses and whatnot and redo everything. great!
One of four tracks I did for the August 2009 24 hour challenge. This was the last track I did, and it shows.
I was pretty tired after finishing 3am chill, and had to mess round for ages mangling loops and trying out different things before…
Recorded: August 1, 2009
Details: Epiphone Les Paul (DADGAD - capo II), Seymour Duncan Pickups, POD XT, Boss RC-20 Looper, EBow, Audacity, Sound Forge.
I've been slacking, so here's something new finally.
I left flubbed notes in this one. I hate MIDI editing in Ableton Live.
I often think of ending this affair and going back to my sweetheart, Logic.
I just couldn't sit on this anymore! This is a work in progress. I have some ideas for lyrics, but am waiting for time and inspiration to complete it.
Enjoy,
Doug
I wrote Dancing Vampires while reading the book "The Historian", which is a story of a man and his accomplices’ quest to find Dracula in present day Europe. I love history and all of its grit. This song speaks of primal human instincts. We are…
I tried so hard to write vocals for this. I even had some recorded but couldn't bear to leave them on. Anyone else wants to give it a go, let me know :)

I got about a minute in and had to fire up the piano. Very inspiring Kirk.
