I don't know if you wondered which inst in general or which 'product' 'sorry if
My first composition that uses an odd time signature for a few measures. My drum fills are also more elaborate. It's just a little tune to bob your head to, tap your toe, you know, the good stuff!
nice title- nice groove -yeah. 1:37 makes me smile big ; D
Thanks for the comments/interest.
I am teaching some art and music to little munchkins three and a half days per week.
For years, I taught visual arts studies o the university level.
More soon, friend.

Thanks for these sounds and for your helpful comments on 'For Joy.'
For horn sounds, I use a combination of my own horn [acoustically/live recorded] and Garageband symphony samples [one of the 'jam packs']. The EQ-ing and time-based effect mix seems crucial. Having a long history around brass, I just try to adjust all of the above to get them to blend and sound reasonably natural.
As to relative 'prolificness,' I've been out of full-time work for too long. I teach part-time and have a backlogue of things that I tend to re-vamp.
Bless you and your efforts, man.

Well, that’s a tough one. I would suggest starting out with Burnt Weeny Sandwich; it’s primarily an instrumental album. And the compositions are great. Other suggestions, Apostrophe, Overnite Sensation, Roxy or Elsewhere, Baby Snakes, Shut Up n Play Yer Guitar, Sheik Yerbouti, We’re Only In it For the Money, Just Another Band From L.A., Chunga’s Revenge, the list goes on and in no particular order.
I can give you more info about computer voice thing by email.
this tune is great.
thanks for your support. My drums are samples from an old yamaha keyboard. I put the drums on four tracks, 2 left and 2 right. I haven't mixed them down yet. When I do I'll post the revised tune up and let you know. If you like the way the drums sound at that point I will be glad to tell you how I mix them. thanks again.

Compositionally this song started out with the drum pattern and grew from there. I'm not sure why I chose the title 'Mad Man' but in some ways I thought it was fitting.

Love the description of this song. It's interesting to note that quantum physicists are proving things today that people said not so long ago and were considered crazy for saying them. I dare you to try and watch What The bleep @#$##$...or something like that. It's about quantum physics. Crazy stuff..

yeah love the percussion and general sentiment about mad men. Thanks for the warm Ohioan welcome... I'm excited to finally live in a state where the leaves change colors every year! What's this thing called seasons?

A song about falling asleep on the couch, so there is no mystery to it! But the loose change is in the cushions, lights and tv are on, and the oven has been set to 350 for several hours :)
One vocal & acoustic take with a harmony and noodle…
Creepy vocal effects! I was waiting for this to bust out all death metal but it never did. Nice guitar. I couldn't make out the 'lyrics' that well but I felt like I was taking part in some ancient ritual or something!
There's a few things going on here in this little all MIDI experiment. First, I wanted to
show an example of artistic clipping to go with my current posts in the forums on the
subject.
The kettle drums in this piece clip in to the red on their…
Nicely done. Awesome cinematic feel to it but somehow it makes me feel nostalgic! It's like it was written in the past. Crazy. Very cool. Very nice for an all MIDI production.
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…
Great to hear that your adding midi to your setup! If definitely opens up a whole new world. Better watch out or you'll become addicted!. Nice sounds in this. Very rich and immersive. I like the water droplet type sounds.
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode
That Zoom HN4 sounds really nice! Makes me jealous! I just have a Zoom H2 but it's pretty good also. Some really nice and beautiful guitar playing here. Thanks for listening and commenting on my newest song.
This track was made for someone else's promising independent videogame project. The project went horribly wrong, and I sat on an unfinished version of this track for more than a year. I finally decided to fix it today.
As you listen, picture…
This is an instrumental celebration of numbers such as 4 and 650. If you do not like 4 and 650 you can pretend it's about your favorite numbers instead, I won't mind so long as you don't go around pretending that I wrote this piece for 33 or 550.
This song will be used in the soundtrack of a videogame about things that explode. However, nothing in particular is supposed to explode while this music plays.
I have been away from all the music-making stuff for way too long, but I think it…
Thanks for your tip on using the terminal to record an aiff file. That's pretty sweet. Now to comment on your song; I really like how this pumps along. The main synth line is great. It takes some unexpected turns that I wasn't expecting! This is really well crafted. I'm a complete sucker for video game sounds! What did you use to make them? This has a really nostalgic feeling to it. Fantastic stuff!
I recorded this one to a dimming flashlight on the 25th after a windstorm took out my power. I couldn't see the lyrics anymore so I ad libbed and hummed the rest out. My recording device is battery operated, which is cool.
This predicament…
Great back story to this song. I can picture a string section playing along to this. Great imagery of you sitting by the flashlight recording this as the wind howls outside. Nice guitar sound. What mic did you use?
Another one from the dusty special price bin! It started off as a Pilot cover, but it didn't end up that way.
Dave Berry added the excellent tele solos and the crazy cool noises at the end. Thanks bro, you rock!
I spent more time on this…
That's pretty rad. Great recording with the Boss Micro. Excellent guitar by Dave. Such a fab collab. Cool guitar sounds. Groovy vocals, well performed. I dig it, big time.

Great guitar sound. Nice vocals. Great lyrics 'we'll walk this lion cage.' This is a treat! I love the simplicity to your tunes. Nice and bare bones with nothing extraneous. I've been gravitating towards music like this lately!

I love the intimacy that this track has. I feel like I'm in the same room with you performing this. Well done! This is fantastic that this was one take. Very nicely recorded. It's very warm.
The guitar is great when it comes in at 1:21! For some reason this sort of has a Dave Matthews Band groove to it which dig. Nice lyrics and vocal delivery.
Great guitar playing! This one has lots feeling to it. I was bobbing my head along the whole time. I'm not much of a lead player so I like listening to other people who can play lead! Well done tune!
We call this Beat-box ghosts (the prog-fu mix). A fun collab between Osckilo and myself. Osckilo had this song he did called Ghosts, all done beat-box. I had to ask him what beat-box meant, I had no idea. I took his original track (just his…
A typical folk song.
Written and recorded in about an hour for the 24 hour album (attempted on March 13th). Excuse roughness and vocal glitches, it was 2am and this was my first full take.
Thanks to montgomeru for his chord suggestions…

this reminds me of some good old Frank Zappa from the Burnt Weeny Sandwich album.

Bizarre and terrific. I'd have had no clue what it was if you hadn't said. Great sample. What were you playing it through?
nice panning effect!
Gotta love a good dishwasher tune! Nice!
Sounds like a heartbroken fishing boat starting its shift, and people think fishing boats don't have hearts.
Great sounds!
reminds me of the day when 8 bit was awesome. Definitely like the sounds.
video game sounds! awesome! Nicely done.

Thanks for taking the time to comment; many intriguing sounds here! ; )
What a cool, eclectic, mix. Liked this one, especially the sound of the piano running through it and counterpointing the glitchiness.
Fascinating! I like! Truly creative

This one takes a little while to get going but once it does it's all good. Well done!
Great instrumentation and composition. A very enjoyable piece of music!
Great harmony vocals. Cool lyrics too. I kept waiting for the full band to kick but I like the sparseness of this one.

Really like this one! You have a very nice distinctive style! So... how does one get into writing music for video games?!
The more I dig into your catalog the more I like it! Once again, I love the video game type sounds. Very cool.
