Hey there,
This is a song that has been in my head for a while now. I think it has an amazing content. It's originally for Violin Solo, but I made an arrangement for 2 Violas and 2 Violins. I added/changed perhaps 10 notes in total, it's crazy…
The first time I played over this song, maybe about 10 years ago - I remember jumping up and down with joy, because it was the first time for me to add some violin tracks, where I felt like they didn't get in the way of what was there.
I made…
That was a pleasant listen - don't sell yourself on the mixing side, I heard just a few minor inconsistencies but overall I think you've got the hang of it.

Really pretty, it's been nice to see this one develop. I'm a big fan of the steady pacing, actually! It's refreshingly unmelodramatic, a nice change from maxxxxed out rubato.

This Track was recorded a couple of years ago, and I started thinking about it because of the recent Track "dreaming" that I uploaded.

Hey,
I just improvised again this night and wanted to share what came out. Usually I'm such a perfectionist and have to get every detail right, with the effect that I don't share a lot of stuff that I do.

Thank you for the comments! It encourages me to continue exploring and focus a bit less on the classical goal of recreating and interpreting old masterpieces.

It feels like you're putting a piece of yourself into the violin while playing it. That's really tricky to do for those of us who program synthesizers.

Trying out a new strat: not letting myself work on details on the computer until the skeleton of the song is complete. Result is a lot of variety in songwriting, but a bit rougher arrangement/mix.

Ah cool, maybe it’s lightness comes from the bass that moves gradually upward, even though the melody feels sad. Love it! So in terms of the title this makes also perfect sense, even though on the Surface it’s not fun, deep down there is something moving forward. Well that’s my first interpretation in any case.
Draft arrangement of a favorite song.
Wurlitzer, Moog Model D, Banjo and some Rodney advice.
Thanks to Almut, Mars, Floss for vocal chorus help and Markus for the beautiful scratchy baroque violin.
Cat Stevens cover.
I listen to the wind, to the wind of my soul
Where I'll end up, well, I think only God really knows
I've sat upon the setting sun
But never, never, never, never
I never wanted water once
No never, never, never
I listen…

This is a true story. Im pretty sure this guy still has a taxi job on the night shift in Denver.
Too long since I’ve posted a song. Most importantly, I got Norm to dust off the skins and record some percussion for me. Good to hear Norm and…
A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
For my friend and coworker, because he certainly deserves it.

Simply beautiful... emotionally pulls you in... perfect for these troubled times as it played on its swells felt very hopeful. Thank you!
I like this very much.
Spectacular man!
Your playing is wonderful!
Heavenly sounds descend from nowhere and disappear into nowhere. The voice of the poet’s soul. --Thanks for Respighi, man.

Absolutely Lovely!
Thank you Nemo!
Loving these Solo sessions man!
Woah, the verb.... <3 The playing is cool, pretty fun to hear baroque cadences and motifs scattered in there...
Off the bat i really like the violin playing and it's calmness like almost walking back in time to some old eastern European Jewish village market.

Very touching, beautiful, a little sad but feels quite light at the same time for me. Thank you!
Still one of my favorites. Love what the guy is saying. Oh but the cringe with the violins at the end. haha. :3
