Here is a little sneak track from my next project. I'm still working on vocals, mastering, writing ect...but I really needed to get something uploaded. This has been a horribly slow process writing my next album. It's time to float....

No title for this guy yet, as indicated by the...title. Anyway, this is a venture that leans in the direction we hope to take our sound. Of course it needs work, bass and vocals, but we think it's a decent representation of "us," and probably…
I worked on this one off and on through '05 and '06. I did numerous demos of it (just me and an acoustic) before finally recording it proper. Originally I intended it as a slower, more ethereal (read:reverby) piece, but it just wasn't cutting…
Kinda rough. I'm uploading this mainly to share a guitar technique I've been working on. I'm wearing a slide on my picking hand and using it to alter pitches in single line phrases. There's a lot more can be done with this technique that I've…
HYSTERIA
poem by: T.S. Eliot (1888-1965)
As she laughed I was aware of becoming involved
in her laughter and being part of it, until her
teeth were only accidental stars with a talent
for squad-drill. I was drawn in by short gasps…
eshar asked me "if you ever feel like supplying some funky vocals...that would be awesome!
." I said "yes" instantly because i love what she comes up with. Here is the first attempt, all words are made up on the moment with no retakes. I think…
I've alway's loved Ozzy's music, this is one of
my Fav's. Everything is done by me, Vocal's, instrument's. The word's I give credit to Ozzy's
song from Black Sabbath "Snowblind". I hope you like it..

Very nice Kirk....i'm a little confused on the technique....are you placing the slide on your..say...ring finger and still picking or are you holding the slide? You don't have to give up your secret if you don't want to, just curious ;)
Vocal, fretless electric guitar, rhodes (Dimension Pro), tenor sax (Dimension Pro), and drums (Session 3 drummer). All but the drums are live performances.

Really wanted to try and learn what i would consider one of the best lead guitar solos of all time, recorded this in early 2010 and it's my effort at learning the solo. Hope you enjoy it.
Comments on Movement To Contact's stuff
That a jam packed 3 min. Bad ass riff, like the section it builds up to and widens up.
Isn't it nice we can comment again? What a fabulous track!
Absolutely wonderful! w;-)
I think this is beautiful! w;-)

You make awesome driving music - Rules! BTW, I just saw Clutch a few weeks ago - State Theatre in Portland, ME. A nice venue.
That "Catch a Train" collab was fabulous - Can't wait to play that one on the road. Love the guitar work!

Nice additions regs! Everyone's jumpin on this track with Norm. Love it!
kILLER! lOVE IT! Nice work with the bends on this one Rick, and the delay is nice.
Cool raw sound.
Nice one Gary, the bass and beat really hold the tone together with your voice.
So nice i had to listen again...man your guitar sounds sweet in this one
Kick ass collab gents. Fine work chris and norm! FAV'D Love the additions to the track! The horns work great.
Super tight collab, nice one!
Glad you liked the track, i have to give 99.9 percent of the credit to W.S., he made the killer tune, all i did was add my old guitar over it :)

Killer tune Mr. Rick! If i have some spare time i will hop on this jam-wagon
I second what everyone else posted here....could not agree more ;)
Always love the spoken word of music....i have had the notion to wander in direction a few times ...diggin it :)
DL'd for later :)
I like the long held out vocals combined with the scales your using....very somber, and droning feel. Very off-tune...but yet very much in-tune...
Less then one minute in and i already love it.
Man you got some killer mixing going on Colin. What kind of studio set-up are you using? Pro- or a home stuido set-up?
Thanks Colin, right back at ya man!
Glad you enjoyed it all Eshar! I've been digging on the funk your producing, very nice!
Killer version! Love it!
