i was listening to a post of this Beatles cover by oldrottenhead this morning,,it is a really great song, so this evening i sort of just sort of sat down an let it happen,,i didn’t even really know the song as much as i might like,, but i find it really wonderfully emotive piece,, and of course the fab 4 are the most amazing,, on a personal note: i used a yamaha grand synth not the usual steinway, and it kind of tends to deaden the notes more, which i found cool,, and also i found myself doing a lot more percussive pounding on this than im used to ,, it was fun!!

Hi Richard, Re: Hotel Cali => yes clarinet for main vocal, oboe for backing vocal - everything you hear is from Kontakt's standard sample set. Thank you for the listen and comment!

You are right on the money for Knife Edge here is a right up I found "Knife Edge", is based on the first movement of Janáček’s Sinfonietta (1926) with an instrumental middle section that includes an extended quotation from the Allemande of Johann Sebastian Bach's first French Suite in D minor, Cheers mate.

A most sympathetic variation of this extraordinary piece and so well played.

Man....amazing take on a classic Richard. Always loaded with emotion. Per you comment on Desert Song, you would have to talk with Djork on the flute, I know a little about his set-up but he was the mastermind on the basic track format. I just added my touch to an already great track. :)

ohhh I didn't see you had uploaded this! To answer your question - it was a Yamaha - can't remember the model - it had 3 pedals - I agree about the low end but the high end was really weak in my opinion.
