This song was inspired from all the snowstorms we have been having this winter, another on the way tonight.....I decided to prog it out for this one....prog-rock.....lets bring it back.
great recording here...the kit is captured well - exaggerated in a great way...again that snare is sizzling - envisioning the mic(s) placement...still g moore on guitar...really great stuff...
really pretty vibe here - well played - all parts...including engineering / mastering...sounds great over here...still love that guitar tone - we gotta talk
Lyrics/Vocals - OldRottenHead (over at Soundcrafters.org). Music - Dave Berry. Recorded on Boss BR-1200, Epi Sheraton, Bass, Synth. Drums are played by me on my new Roland HD-1 (I have had it two weeks, timing is a little shaky, bloody hard this…
No more messing about for Reg, this is the one she has long black satin hair the body of an angel, her accent is pure English rose she stands by the bar talking to her friends, she turns Reg catches her eye and smiles a bolt of electricity zaps…
A few months back we had a "Beatlesfest" on songcrafters.org.
I contributed this and Yesterday.
This one's a bit of a departure for me. Not the song itself - it's been one of my favourites ever since I was tiny (I preferred Robin Gibb's…
Electric blues. Recorded 2007. I was learning how to use my DAW and trying to figure out how a one-man-band could get to sound like a bunch of old bluesers in a sweaty bar...

**Rabbit Boy - A A J Russe**
Well she don't mind crying…
A tale of keeping your head above the water, or not...
Recorded Jan-Feb 2011.
I wrote it many years ago, never thought I'd ever do anything with it.
I intended to record this with just an acoustic and my new EDB (electric upright bass…
This song started with just the title. I think unappeasable is a fantastic word.
Unappeasable:
She’s so unappeasable
I don’t think that she’s feasible.
Oh, I’ve tried to be reasonable
but she can’t see my point of view.
She’s blind…
Lyrics:
Pass me a handle of that old time tennessee
It's been a while since I've seen the devil
It's a common mistake to think that I'm a sweet and gentle soul
but give me a chance to change your mind
Cause you have never seen me like…
i like this also...the drums are clangy and sharp, the melody is distant...the voice over is in my face...lo fi and hi fi all at once - we call that 'textures' i guess - nice work!
Comments on Orphans's stuff
Wow. This one has a nice chemistry to it - the whole thing meshes well. I particularly like the vocal buildup around the 4:45 mark until the end.
Nice turnaround, off the wall but i like it.
i dig the cow punk!
catchy, but unusual to my ears. Good stuff.
Take me to the party immediately.
drummer eager to hear
I don't know why I like this one so much but I do - Snow PS. That was me who commented on Go Away too (no surprise , right?)
