Not bad, the song has a very nice rythm to it! I think if you team up with a DJ on one of you next singles, it would surely be a hit in the charts. Nice work, can't wait for next release.
They tore down the theater, now there's nothing to do on those summer days, well anyways...Who cares?
We all drink black coffee, and we smoke and we talk about poetry, philosophy and fear...as days fly by another wasted year.
I finally left…
Great recreation of early 60's pop sounds, very cool. The only thing that really gives it away is the vocal harmony, not sure why. Maybe it would have been doubled or something, or buried further in the mix.
Reminds me of some Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd -- back when the were The Pink Floyd and released not LPs but rather 45s like See Emily Play. Very groovy, cool, far out sounds. Thanks for reflecting this juicy era of music!
She wakes across the ocean, and sighs when she discovers...the man who's sleeping with her looks like her last two lovers. No one wants to be a banana head.
Another number that reminds me of The Outsiders and The Youngbloods and other bands and songs of the Psychedelic '60s and the reign of the hippies over the music industry in that era. Solid GOLD, man!
Brett...I know you don't come around this old site much anymore, but I hope that you at least get this message.
This is one of the BEST songs I've heard on this site. (Yes, better than my previous favorite, Cindy Loveless which is also great!)
Its Christmas Day and the family are finally together even though it's only for the day .....
It's Christmas Day
Christmas Day its finally here
Its been too long a journey now to get us all to appear
We’ve been spread out…
Within hours of being posted, and here I am to dig your music....super song!
One thing I've missed about UK in the eighties, when all the popular groups would do a Chrissy-tune!
So ... While we were picking out names to call our little band to compete with the big boys next summer the name "Prison House Band" came up. After a few laughs it was voted down abruptly but it stirred something inside. Here is my first jail…

Time to roll the dice, And spin the spinner.
Keep playing cards ‘til there’s a winner.
Players are gathered And the board is set.

This is from Dylan's album Oh Mercy. In spite of an intention to stop posting covers of songs and work on something angry and new, I got to the end of this without messing up the piano and only barely mangling the lyrics, I got too excited and…
Hope the sound is okay ( I know, I suck at that part). Not much into Christmas for various reasons but tried to be at least a little positive and present this to those that might like to hear it. Have a great holiday and share if you'd like.
It was 3 degrees this morning and with a new/used dulcimer in the house, well, the only thing to do is write a song.

It's nice the way this old ghost-ship of a website comes alive any time you post a song....reminds me of the old days, when this place was a real nice musical community.
The song is another good one, too.
This was an attempt at using the keyboard to make an instrumental invoking looking for something, thinking it had been found, then finally finding it. Or, put another way, this was a way to practice piano.
Hello Mike. Thank you for the tips on miking a kit, tips that I’ll definitely take into consideration.
As far as your inquiry of our influences, we’re three dudes who have all been in bands both together and otherwise since the 1980’s. Our influences are all over the place, but I’d say that pop music from the 1960’s looms large with all of us…me especially. Almost all of my tunes are straight-up attempts at capturing that groovy vibe….anything that the Wrecking Crew worked on, as well as the mop-tops.
I’m a genuine fan of your stuff, so please keep ‘em coming.
wrote this about 10yrs ago ,drums programmed , mixed and mastered , produced , by myself , bass , rthm guitars lead guitar , vocals , backing vocals , by myself , hope you like it , cheers tony cee
Good job. It's so clear.....I've been trying to get that clean drum sound the a machine creates and wonder if it's even WORTH having a human drummer!
We'll keep him around for the sake of friendship.

Breezy as ever!
Very bright! Very fun! :)
Nice departure from my usual diet. I love it!

Brilliantly original version. Love it!
Back for another listen... love it :-)
Love the retro vibe of this - quite "Byrds-y", great vocal harmonies. Thanks for the kind words on Slapshot, by the way :-)
Ah the worst kind of ending…but so beautifully weaved. Love your style.
Lovely stuff... reminds me of The Kinks :-)
love the guitar tone on this...great track...takes me back to a more innocent time ...which is a good thing...
Ah Boston! I've been there! Anyway, this is a quirky little ditty. Cute!
Instant sunshine!
Nicely done.

I dig how y'all blended, mixed down and mastered the vocal tracks -- fabulous job!
A wee bit of Hawaiian spice sprinkled upon this one -- tasty. Y'all blend superbly, vocally. Loving that Youngbloods-like guitar effect. Beautiful!
Y'all did an amazing, fabulous, exceptional job with this number. Excellent! ROCK ON!

Dig that guitar! Nice effect, sweet picking. Groovy, colorful sounds all around.

Nice....but ya buried the didjeridoo! Real cool music.
Wow...I love this. It's definitely a track I'll be coming back for.

It's hard.....for me not as often as it use to be. Still, a great song.
I love it! We'll be seeing you at the next local battle-of-the-bands.
Well done….i’ll have to check out the original, I’ve never heard this one. You shouldn’t curb the covers….it’s ALL better than AI.
There’s still amazing stuff to be found here at this site!😃
You MUST have some Lou Reed music in your collection...this song reminds me of his album New York.
Cool...I feel like I'm about to watch an episode of Breaking Bad.
Nice...that's some mighty fine pickin' and singin'.

I love it...it's like the Mamas and Papas.
Sounds like the last tune of a rockin' holiday party, right before they kick everyone out.
That baby notice use to be everywhere.....nice rendition. Oops...whoa, kazoo!???

I can almost imagine what X the Astronaut looks like.
😃Nice!

Very nice. Here's hoping you expand on it.....twas a tad brief.
