I hope Brian (one of us Proods) will forgive me for posting this before we could get together to work on it further. He first played it for me a few months ago and I've been obsessively tweaking it every chance I could get.

Have you ever felt like it was YOU who were the problem? If you haven't, then you're missing out on one of the purest forms of self loathing that humanity has to offer. This is dedicated to the fine soul who actually did find something lovable…

AAAHHHH!!!!! Love that distinctive Proods sound. I have a dream someday we all get together for the biggest jam. Wouldn't that be fun! Thanks for posting this!

This song is based on the account of a friend, who had a drunken fling with a stranger at a party and regretted it BEFORE she sobered up. The title is a reference to the 1986 movie River's Edge, and the character played by Danyi Deats.

"I Won't Kiss You Goodbye" may sound like another crybaby break-up song, but we wrote it after I got fired/quit from a career I'd spent too many years at. It's fun listening to the words with that in mind.
cool, the production has a kind of distant haziness that it drifts in and out of of, it's soothing but also a bit melancholy.
ha, did someone make a flub @ 3:27? "ssssshhiii*"
Another groovy tack from the Proods. Chad the Bad is the name of a terrible monster movie we shot back in ourMass Art days. It's been kicking around for too many years, so we're finally putting it out there, hoping you enjoy it more than my fellow…

I hope I don't meet Chad the Bad in a dark alley anytime, even though he sounds like a pal in the end... Love that guitar jam! So fun to hear new music from the wonderful Proods! Hope you all are well.

Heyyyy, welcome back. The sound is bright and delightful as always. I gotta say, the retro pop is apparent but never sounds like it's languishing in the past. It's a bubbly optimism that is sorely missing in garage rock.
She wakes across the ocean, and sighs when she discovers...the man who's sleeping with her looks like her last two lovers. No one wants to be a banana head.
This song was written after I had watched a documentary about Jonestown, which featured music from their choir. They were very talented and I couldn't help wondering if any of them had survived. I'd like to think that there were a couple of 'em…
(Song 4)
Hair net tossed on the table
Name tag still pinned to my shirt
Work boots wait on the front step
but they might walk out on me too
I've got no one left to care for
No one left to hear my prayer
Talking to the kitchen window…
(Song 3 this year)
When you're younger,
you're everything or so it seems
Then you start becoming a ghost in the years between
People say things about you like
"He was always so nice"
"Such a good guy" , "Such a shame"
or " he always…
You were here then you were gone
Crystal black in morning cold
Hand too tired to touch the earth
Or stars above Moravia
Born under a silent moon
At your feet the hens and mules
Bay and cry, I know they do
Here I am, and where are you…
I love this....I was just looking at the weather forecast for Nashville...I'm surprised to see it's just as crummy down there as it is up here in Boston. Well, you've certainly caught MY frame of mind with this improv.
Half my life has settled into
Time to try the things we never
Make your mind up about it
White third eye embroidered on the
Waves wash out the water green and
Serpentine the river bending
And I’ve wasted half the night
Counting cards…
sometimes Reg realises what he truly wants but most of the time he's oblivious ...
All i want is Honest Love
The tangled web is woven with care
The spider doesn’t want you to know its there
It wants to catch you by surpise…
And now He knows.......
And now i know
Long before I knew there was something smoldering anyway
Something you said was real but it was meant as a throw away
decayed inside my mind like a clue
Like a clue of foul play
That…
Reg can be a callous bastard sometimes ......
What you don't know ain't gonna hurt you
Now you know I’m not gonna tell you honestly
About the dreams in my life that never came true
The love of my life that cut me in two
About the…
Remember the cul-de-sac nights
cold beer, a cigarette to share
the creak of our old porch swing
smoke curled like chinese dragons in the air
Chorus
The porch light flickers,
But it’s not lit for me anymore.
I know there’s nothing waiting…
Reg had some terrible news that would break any man ......
How it rains down on me
In the early morning of the 14th April
Two days before the rain
Took the smile from my face to turn it to pain
Taking my smile from my face…
This is the last one. Letting go is not something I am good at, but this is the last one.

You could feel your mother and your father scold,
But you only regret what you fail to behold.
After all, it was a once in a lifetime scene…
Brett...I know you don't come around this old site much anymore, but I hope that you at least get this message.
This is one of the BEST songs I've heard on this site. (Yes, better than my previous favorite, Cindy Loveless which is also great!)
Its Christmas Day and the family are finally together even though it's only for the day .....
It's Christmas Day
Christmas Day its finally here
Its been too long a journey now to get us all to appear
We’ve been spread out…
Within hours of being posted, and here I am to dig your music....super song!
One thing I've missed about UK in the eighties, when all the popular groups would do a Chrissy-tune!

Fun indeed! A great way to start the day with upbeat tunes!

How did I miss this gem? No self loathing necessary for those responsible for this one... I hope the one didn't get away... Great song!
Ooh, a rare melancholy Proods tune... bordering on country western... the electric sounds fantastic. That is some heavenly reverb.
Good song, y'all.
AAAHHHH!!!!! Love that distinctive Proods sound. I have a dream someday we all get together for the biggest jam. Wouldn't that be fun! Thanks for posting this!
It’s like finding the surprising soft side of some scruffy old characters
Sounds like you guys are having fun! Good song, and yes it does remind me a little of the Monkees.
Your songs have that warm 70's slide surfer rock feeling to it! Excellent!
Hi guys! Love the song, but it makes me wish you’d write one about ME!- Pam
I expect they didn't have to look very far! Another fabulous timeless anthem, Proods.

Another good'n. I thought I commented on this before, guess not! Very tight performance, cool bass line and lovely vocals.
Good one, I really like the mix, especially the drums and electric. Melty and retro crunchy!
What a darkly inspiring song! Your ability to combine whimsy and tragic imagery is wonderful!

I love it...kept waiting for a hook that never came, but I guess that's what made it compelling.
Great lyrics.
Hypnotic....mesmerizing, and aptly named. Great.
It's a beautiful song.....and it speaks to those of us of a certain age. Bravo, Nick.
Wonderful.

You again with Neil! Well, again...a cool rendition of a NY tune.
Woo. This is great….it’s like a song that each one of the Beatles might have written after they broke up.
Nice….very nice. Someday I’ll ask you to explain how one might pronounce TwoRegs.
Soulful…..terrific.
The trippy vocal effect is an interesting choice, I like it, it surprised me. Great lyrics.
Another nicely worded song…You’ve nailed it.
Not a NY guy, but this is an excellent interpretation of his stuff.
Very nice.
Beautiful song......hoping for the best for Reg.
Very nice. I admit, it got me in the feelies.

Nice....but ya buried the didjeridoo! Real cool music.
Wow...I love this. It's definitely a track I'll be coming back for.
