Originally a homework assignment for an audio recording class, where we were asked to make a commercial using backing music, sound effects, and a voice over. The backing track was an in-progress version of "Neon Orange Dinosaur" from Beats + Noise.

This was written using a Seagull Merlin. It is about following God by listening to our hearts - not our own hearts which are often polluted by the world, but our deeper heart that is the heart of Christ.

In this track the guitar melodies and solos are based on an unusual scale John McLaughlin (of Mahavishnu Orchestra fame) liked to use. It's basically a Phrygian Dominant scale with the flat-6 removed.

No offense meant to my English friends. ;) I grew up there as a kid, so we have common cause. Anyway, this song is more about the struggle between the material and spiritual, doing the right thing when you are called upon, etc. Hope you enjoy!
