First song written this year... and the closest thing to a reasonable but non-standard tuning I used (just drop D)

I think I had just hiked at, or was planning on hiking at, Rattlesnake Ledge when I wrote this, so...there you go. Tuned to DADGAD.

So named because it reminded me of something I might hear on a PBS special or other documentary about national parks, and Tuolumne (from Yosemite NP) was the first word that came to mind. Also wins for weirdest tuning: CGDGAC

For that matter, who says everything in DADFAD has to be dreary and sad? D minor is, after all, the saddest chord.

This just sort of fell out of my guitar as I was finishing up recording Tuolumne (so it is also in super-weird CGDGAC tuning). And it's named because what caught my eye as I was searching for a name was a bass guitar pick with an eagle on it.
