Anything that has the title, "Desert Sunset", has me right away. I miss them deeply. The music delivers what the title suggests. I will be returning to listen, repeadtedly. On, the song you commented on "This Strange Parade", you were right, it was over 40mbs, perhaps that's why the music was cut off at the end, and the chorus just goes for a stroll naked, so to speak- it was just cut at 40mb's. Thanks for your knid comments by the way. Dan Gipson
So question for you.. how did you record the piano for this album?
And I realized later that you hadn't specifically asked what I was using on one of my piano songs.. so to answer your earlier question: It was Reason+Record for that song, with "built-in" sounds as well some refills (notably the Reason Pianos that I mentioned).
Lovely!
To answer your question... currently I'm using the Reason pianos refill. I've also used NI's Akoustik, Ableton Live Suite's grand piano, and an Alesis QS7 in reverse chronological order. :)
very cool,,, once along time ago i (when in school) i was in a gamalon orchestra.. this brings me a bit back,, but it's much more modern in sound,, very nice
To be true to yourself - how is it? True to the sound that you retrieved from the instrument, to give [share] it away to others (to whom? you'll never know)? True to the mood that you're trying to follow, and which changes before you realize what…
A bit of improv done yesterday with my newly refurbished fretless guitar. Finally got the midi pickup to track almost right! Part of the sounds were gotten by rubbing a teaspoon on the strings.
sooooo, rich in texture,,,and that line/bit/theme about love..oh how so true..... this feels like a destined classic piece, i am honored to be here, listening at the beginning,, well done r
Didnt mean to have a political slant but had just got denied my large order soft drink in Manhattan.
All thats left are the small sodas with the "NY loves big cans" tee shirts
romantic indeed,,,, i love listening and playing along on my desktop,, this is very visual/tactile for my fingers,,,,,i think you must be having a lot of fun with this,,,,, most inspiring and beautiful r
great fun,,, like hearing you having such fun on the strings,,,, as a side note,, i have been a long time fan of our local county fair,,, one time i passed by exactly,, what could be the brother of the truck in the photo,,, anyway we decided to order deep fried "" oreros, milkeyways,, etc,,, don't know if it was just me or not,, but after hearing about such gourmet fair,,for years,,, they were no where as good as my imagination thought they would/should be,,, great fair though,,, thanks for the fun reminder and, i enjoyed hearing you here,, richard
This is like, hmm... like talking to a stranger on a train. First, it's nothing about, and then suddenly you discover that you're about to tell your life; or you listen to someone's story, seemingly intricate or simple (and therefore seemed familiar…
igor,,, there is something about the soul or music from your native land,,, that has always surpassed// amazed my inner self,, that,,, hard to say,,,,,is soooooo beautiful and touching,,, once again well done friend r
the neat thing about a cover is that we all identify with it,, the problem about a cover is also... we all identify with it,,, and yet,, and yet,,, what you do here is simply amazing.. i have said this before but it's no less true,,, sometimes your music takes me to places that mere words can not say,,, once again thank you,,,,
Our history was held in objects and places. We didn't realize as children that we were standing amongst the ashes of the loves of our ancestors. Still, we knew back then that love was possible and that we'd all move mountains for it.

Dig this one! The polyrhythms (if that's the term) really give me the sense of rain falling, too.
