Song #7 for my 2025 RPM Challenge. Another one with my Juno Synth as the main player. It ended up being much longer than intended (but it fits with the title...). I call it a Peter Griffin ending (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4X8HsEj7d4…

Song #6 for my 2025 RPM Challenge. This one is sort of a dance (anti-dance) song. Composed mostly using my Juno Synth. It took ages to put together oddly. Thanks to anyone who dares to listen!

Big sound, you still have the touch. I wonder what you are doing the other 11 months of the year (more a statement than a question). I hope you are writing, performing or something associated with music. I always enjoy hearing what you produce.

We like ... (Mrs R listening too) ... This, like Almost Felt Like Dancing earlier, throws me right back into being the "university student me" in the early 80s - I can almost taste it. Very cool track.

I really like this. It reminds me of the early industrial stuff, bits of Skinny Puppy? The vocal work gives it a completely different feel, but the bass and drums pound.
Song 5 for my RPM Challenge (the half way mark!). Decided to use my Juno synthesizer for this one - I love that thing. Did this yesterday after a nice winter hike. Thank you to anyone out there who listens - much appreciated xoxo

First song I'm posting for RPM 2025. Not sure I'll finish this year....but I'll try.
Wrote this after listening to more of the horrible news coming out of the US.
Watching for you

Can’t believe our eyes

3rd Song for my RPM challenge. Went back to my piano and kept it minimal. I love singing harmonies (grew up listening to CSNY). Thanks to anyone who listens xox

Song 4 for my RPM 2025. I wrote and recorded it after dinner tonight. This time, I picked up the lovely Martin and strummed away. Another opportunity for some harmonizing. Thanks again for listening!

You're voice is incredible, but oh man are you're arrangements something special. They are so sparse, but just have such momentum. If you stopped posting your RPM tracks, my FAWM's would be a little worse.

Song 2 for RPM 2025 (I actually wrote this one first). Dusted off my electric guitar for this one (yeah, maybe I should practice more).
My heart is falling for you
Your heart, is longing to be free
And my days are very numbered
And you…
omg....this really appeals to me. Gives me that Velvet Underground - Lou Reed feel. Super cool. I actually looked up 880 skyline lol. I used to live right beside a highway and a busy train track. I love what's going on at 4:42 btw
Gone on a travel on a winter day
It doesn’t matter any price I’ll pay
I ain't busy on the week after next
Just give me a call or just gimme a text
I got no plans to be leavin' my couch
Eatin' the doritos in the family pouch

I was meant to be resting and chilling.
In fact, I was resting and chilling.
But then I got a message from Lala saying she was listening to the…
The random wisdom of bar room philosophers, and the magic of sipping whiskey in a darkened room.
This is the December submission for the RPM - Record Every Month challenge
Recorded in December 2021
Oh yeah!!! I love that beginning/ending!! Beautiful song, great vocals and guitar, cool lyrics. I must say the recording/production is also well done. I'll go have a whiskey (wait...it's only 4:25 pm...and I should be working!).
This tune was born from the RPM Challenge 2022 Endlesss jam with contributions from fellow RPMers: Salman, Bukupanda & Elling. After slicing and dicing the Endlesss stems, some additional instrumentation was added and this is the result. A…

Awesome! Very catchy melodically (complex in a great way) and otherwise. I love the bridge....and the "they don't count anymore"...love that....and nice ending vocal too. Your challenge seems to be going extremely well.
Great tune and title! Love the way the guitar comes in and then builds on itself; and the riff is very catchy too. Well done! oh yeah, cool...now I'm hearing that bass toward the end....wow. RPM is going well I see.
The Minnesota Association of Songwriters issued a writing challenge this January to "borrow" conceptually from a writer that has influenced our writing to create a new original work of our own. Once you hear this, I think you'll get the idea…
Beautiful! Great idea for a song. What a lovely melody. ps. thanks for your support. Glad I found your music too; it's all so gorgeous. Listening to the next one as I write this. :)
Bonus points if you can figure out what this song is about before the end of the first verse.

Can you hear me?
Can you see my screen?

There's an error on the next slide, and I hope that you will bear with me

(Remastered 22/10/2021)
I found this one while I was digging through the shoe-box for the 1994 songs. Apparently I wrote it on 10th November 1995.
Foolishly, I thought it would only take a week or so to record... I was originally expecting…
Love it - also the era it is from! I hear the Bron-Y-Aur Stomp but only because you mention it (that is one of my favourite Zeppelin songs). Fun and great musicianship truly.

OK, this is a bit of a departure for me - posting songwriting demos.
This is a one mic recording made this morning in the living room, touch of reverbs…
Ah! I now read your post....that challenge seems more zen :). I also like that emphasis on the song writing part. You're off to a fabulous start! PS thanks for listening to my stuff - much appreciated. ONWARD WE GO! lol

Cool .....another Great Tune!!!
Excellent song! It's got kind of a Kate Bush feel. :)
Beautiful slow build. After hearing this, and recently breaking out my old Roland beat box, I feel a sudden need to get an old analog synth. :P
That synth is so lonely and the vocal accompanying is a perfect fit

You still got the touch! Nice song.
Oh yes indeed. Love this.
Wonderful song! So moving and beautiful words
love it! very moving.
Missed this one! Nice :)
Eerily delivered and sadly very right to the point…. Great job! Your voice is so beautiful.

I love that "I don’t think that this Jar is enough" line, and how you sing the "You Maybe mine for a while". Cool harmonies as well.
Oh yeah, like it.

oh yeah! That's an awesome song - that challenge is bringing out some great creativity. I love the chord changes - some unexpected ones in there!
Anther great tune!
Yeah! That's a cool tune. Very rocky and catchy. I also really like the ending scratchy amp sounds...love that effect.

Great piece. I love the feeling of this...moody and complex. Seriously cool. RPM brings out some of the best stuff.
oh yeah! I love this. Wild. haha..."cute" is not the adjective that came to my mind though. Great topic for a song too. The vocal effects are great.
oh yeah! this is a great song. I love the vocals and great lyrics :). Beautiful melody on this too. well done. Was this last years RPM?
What a fun song! Great vibe too. Love the harmonica or melodica maybe. May your RPM month continue smoothly - off to a great start.
