actually this is a good place to comment on the piano here, which is so evocative, and guides the mood beautifully. I appreciate it more each time i hear it.

very cool track here! as for freezing have you ever used GRM Tools Freeze or Riverrun? the former esp does a very nice job with any source. & thanks for the comments. as for "shook me", it had chunks processed in MetaSynth; then arranged w/more processing in DP.

I'm listening to this track, eating my dinner by candlelight, when a lone balloon drifts down the staircase apparently unaided by human hand. Luckily I can blame a mischievous (and out of bed) 3 year old, otherwise I would be very afraid.

Hmmm listening in headphones there's very little movement which creates a disappointingly static impression. Something to work on.

Great drone, love the percussion, cool track!

I love the music and tone of this one. The way the opening draws you in, the tension of the strings, and the rising, sucking, synth almost like someone whistling across a wasteland. Yet the strings bring you back! The whole thing is more than the sum of its parts.

Drama is clearly good for you :)

That was really good Steve. One strangeness: the track is listed as being 6:16 long but stops (seemingly naturally) at 5:52.

I agree it's a bit shrill in places. This track is actually one of the few times I've thought I shouldn't just publish but should polish. I often struggle with this feeling and - as with this track - lose.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. I'm getting some odd distortions on playing here this morning that I didn't notice in the original (esp. since this piece doesn't play "hot"). They're not supposed to be there. Odd.
