This is one track where I can say, without reservation, that I am really happy with how it came out.
I worked up a beat I liked with 3 Stylus RMX parts making good use of chaos and time designer for the breaks.
For the first time I really…

I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this one.
I enjoyed making the beats and think that part came out pretty good but everything after that felt rather haphazard and didn't feel right to me.
I was close to abandoning the track…

Okay I need to say a few things. Please read before listening!
I did not do the 24 hour challenge but I did try and hang around in the chatroom as much as possible with Glu, SisterS, and ChrisM while they battled through it.
At about midnight…

Took a few hours to make. For example a lot of fades are hand drawn automation and the whole thing is 540 bars long so that took a while even though I can copy & paste automation data in Logic.
The 05:00 mark I went a bit mad with the filter resonance. I have a version where I clean that up a little and it sounds better I think. I might replace the online version.

So how long did this take DAMN - an alarm went off just as I started typing LOL - 5 minutes in!
So as i was about to say - this is intriguing and the fade-ins/outs and those watery textures make it fun. It's a long way off my beaten track but still in my jungle ... it's getting to the stage now where I'll have to pick up a guitar ...

I don't have a lot of time this morning but it's definitely time for you to stop being so modest. This totally deserves a more pretentious description. How about (in a deep announcer voice): a post-modern sonic exploration of the contemporary kick drum.
:-)

Well you know on further listening I do find things to like in this. I'm inclined to give the process another go (maybe with a slightly shorter time frame) and think more about structure.
Thanks again for your comments folks.

This will maybe sound crazy, but I can hear just adding low drone in places and then a big ominous synth wash over the top. Don't trash it- it's got a lot of possibility!
Another song in the key of Glu.
I know I called the theme was [glubot for a day](http://alonetone.com/forums/togethertone/topics/glubot-for-a-day).
Maybe glubot for a week?
Okay so I enjoyed doing Glubotism1 enough that I thought I'd take a second crack at it. Same tools but took a different approach to how I used Stylus RMX and I introduced some of it's built-in effects on some of the parts. Also I bused RMX and…
When I put these last 3 songs on itunes, my computer did something weird. It told me that these songs were already out there on the internet somewhere. So, in order not to infringe on any copyright laws, I would like to assure everyone that NONE…
Thanks for the nice comment. Yeah those "abouts" were written at the ~23hr mark when I was at my nadir. I've left them for posterity but - relistening later - I was less horrified than I imagined I would be :) Looking forward to the next one!

Alternate title: Gratuitous Love Scene
Just hacking around with these chords; added some stuff and before I knew it I had one of those bits of cheesy music that accompanies those gratuitous sex scenes...
This was amazing Jeff. You coaxed some excellent sounds out of those old classics ;-) I especially love the end which put me in mind of "Moog meets Philip Glass". Looking forward to space (and wondering if I listened to them the wrong way around!)
Oh man that was over too fast, I loved it. So many nice parts and sounds, the echoey feel of the beginning through to the warmth of the end. And kudos for including Statler and Waldorf at the end :)
Comments on Mr Sandbags's stuff
Thanks for the kind words folks, much appreciated :)
I think you nailed the breakdown, love when it comes back in. Great tune.
Aggressive.
This interesting and very clever. Most enjoyable!
Great job on this one! Keep it up. :)
See what happens when you start clowning around :D This is really something. I have to listen again.
nice! I like how this one turned out!
Yes- I think you hit the proverbial nail on the freakin' head with this one. Love the beat and that crunchy bass
I do love dancy rhythm. It does it for me!
yeay! love it! you are quite the sound sculptor, amigo.
Digging the glitchy bits and the synths!
what is the bpm for Mr. Palmer?

I'd like to build a song around Mr. Palmer.
love the rhythmic malfunctions. inspiring.
! Um...I can't believe you put a massive disclaimer on this! Incredibly well played, Sandbags!

Love this one, the playing and the sound.
Love the sound, love the structure. Great track.
Aww man that ended too soon. Do an extended remix!
This is lovely.
Delicious, I think you reached 8 on the Hammond scale at one point there :)
Epic and beautiful.
