That just blew my mind! Voice is incredible.. Should have seen me and Rosa looking at each and saying "13?!?". That is a voice that belongs on record and has to be heard! Loved the song too. So, so impressed.

This started life as a vey simple 'disco' bass riff over which I then brought in the chords. Its got a sort of 80s pop/prog thing going on - not surprising as I'd been listening to a lot of Nik Kershaw when I recorded it!

Here it is in all of its glory...
THIS is the song that Mrs R and I had decided was a suitable response to a request to "Upload something HAPPY, stat!!!!!!!!!"
I tried to record it back in 2013 when I wrote it…
(Remastered 22/10/2021)
I was asked (told?) to upload something happy. Hmmm, I thought. This will end well...
So, a few days later, I was rehearsing a pleasant little thing I wrote several years ago that has a working title of "She Was…
Ha! Whoever gave you such a command is a fricking genius... And boom! You've created a new genre: s-c-a-r-y happy. Arrangement is fabulous - backing vocals, guitar...brilliant!

A straight-ahead rock song with a quirky arrangement change on the second verse. Includes a trippy Pink Floyd-esque middle 8 and a Boyzone rousing key change at the end... You're welcome! 😆

Vocals please, coz I know you've got vocals!
Not sure how you're managing to produce so much shininess so consistently - it's bad enough that you made RPM look so easy. Keep them coming!
Steve developed this beautiful track with his ukulele and I added some lyrics to make a "positive message" song for the times we are in.... Hope it makes you smile too...

Beauty and artistic taste is clear to everyone and eternal, although it does not save the world.

A Late Walk
Robert Frost
When I go up through the mowing field,
The headless aftermath,
Smooth-laid like thatch with the heavy dew…
Here's the first of several versions that you'll see from a collaboration across the inter webs started by Greg Connor. He got us together on the Zoom and then look what happened!!!! Music and lyrics collaborated with the talents of Steve Krell…
The Last Resort would have been too long if this had been included so I did a fade-in to create Part 2... The chords in the verse have a passing resemblance to 'A Few Words For The Dead' by Marillion... I found that out afterwards!
There's…

Okies, so I'm working on some other thing and it's taking a while... drums to do and wotnot. But in the middle of it I'm digging how my Martin acoustic is working out. You probs won't even be able to hear it amongst…
The last 6 months, I've been sight reading a Bach Chorale each morning (there are 400 of em!) and occasionally one sticks out that I really like.
This one sounded great on the Wurlitzer, which is literally note for note playing the chorale…
This was a problem child.. The other tracks fell together quickly but this was a slow burn. The chorus is far more uplifting than the verse - which reminds me of a melancholy hybrid of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and the outro to the 70s British…

Oh Colleen, a beautiful comforting daydream <3
Clever - depressing - clever.
Liking the driving feel in the synth and the whole piratical tension (or is that just me?)
Utterly stunning..! Beauty and art won't save the world but they'll make it a better place while we destroy it.
Horray! I didn't realise you'd uploaded this corking album, obviously love this track. Pepsi and I were singing it for weeks. :)
