very nice live phasing, keeping the rest, and working towards intensity round 5" followed by a great retirement..great live event it must've been. Well done
thanks guys. I've been busy and have catching up to do on this site...looking forward to more listening! as for this track (and many others in this category) it's a mashup of stuff from improvfriday.ning ; basically there's a weekly "event" where brand new stuff gets posted (improv-based or written for IF) and then some of us do quick mashes and post within the same event. sometimes the mashes leave the originals somewhat intact, sometimes it's a full-blown reorganization of materials. the main thing for me is it's fun as fuck!
hi bruce, nice organ. I dragged one home on the bumper of my truck. it has switch effects and a tremelo wheel, and has a similar sound, discounting a couple machine/helicopter keys, which must be used.
my only question is why do the insides of the keys flash like they are on fire when I play it?
a Deerhoof "pre-cover" I made after they posted the sheet music prior to releasing the album in October 2008. Mine was purposely straight compared to some of the others that folks made but I thought I predicted the band's version pretty well…
Looks like maybe few people have left...
I'm back here to thank folks again. I finally released an "art rock" album that includes an updated version of this song. I was very nervous about singing and the nice comments here helped push me towards making the rest of the album (which is called Greener Grass, by Jostaberry, on Bandcamp and the streaming sites). So thanks, Len, and whoever was here before!
I'll tell you one thing for sure... I wouldn't trust no words written down on no piece of paper, especially from no Dickinson out in the town of Machine... you're just as likely to find your own grave.
I'll never be happy enough with it, lol so i posted a crazy improv, and i hope it sounds good enough to listen to at least once.
This is like the billionth time recording this song, and ive played it constantly on voice to people in secondlife…
Heh, I couldn't believe I forgot to share this with my friends here. Well here is the story. I'm sure you'll only listen once and probably not all the way to the end.

very cool track here!
as for freezing have you ever used GRM Tools Freeze or Riverrun? the former esp does a very nice job with any source.
& thanks for the comments. as for "shook me", it had chunks processed in MetaSynth; then arranged w/more processing in DP.
Well, I finally got my hands on a 17 note per octave electric guitar thanks for Brad Smith, a local Luthier who did a lovely conversion of a Jay Turser strat copy I bought at the local Guitar Center for $65. The guitar is nicely very bright…
My first attempt at a Blumlein or Mid/Side recording. This one is actually a mid/side recording as I used a directional mic in combo with a figure 8 ribbon mic set at 90 degrees from the main mic. Thanks to Pat Broaders for the loan of the ribbon…
A piano solo in the JI version of Wilsonistic pivot on C tuning posted to the Just Intonation group by Margo Schulter 12/25/2010. The piece was improvised on a M-Audio 88es using Pianoteq 3.6 and recorded in Sonar 8.5 with some editing of the…
made this for the recent indaba contest; kept mine true to Reich in some ways but put some new spins on it. my main rule was to use only the orig for sound sources.

persistent with surprises! cool
Thanks, guys! Appreciate it a lot.
thanks guys. it was a Reason sampler patch (maybe a dulcimer?) retuned with LMSO and then with some stern LFO filters.
no one does low/dark better than you
very cool; I could imagine a notated chamber version of this as well.
Does just what it needs to do.
