This never turned out like I wanted it to be because I could not find a real drummer and bassist for it. But at least Alina was kind enough to play the lead guitar…
Thanks everybody for your comments on this and other songs of mine! It's good to know that there are a couple of folks out there who like some of my songs. :)

I'm not superstitious, but ... I did not want to end the day with 13 uploaded songs. :D
Here is another old one. Not mixed as good as I think I could do it now, but it could be much worse. ;)

Have you made an effort to be in touch with the film makers in your part of the world? Your state probably has a film comission. If you haven't already, I suggest you do and then begin to find about what is in the works in your state and offer to submit music to the college and independent film makers.
I had this tune in my head for years before I finally sat down and recorded a quick draft of it. I would like to record this with real instruments (acoustic guitar + electric lead guitar).
Anybody interested in helping me?
This is the new version!

Just a little rock song.

This was one of my first compositions ever (I started writing songs in 2004/2005). I don't have the original audio seps any more, just this MP3 file, so I cannot do a decent remix. And I'm too lazy to re-do it all from scratch. :)

When I composed this little instrumental song I did not use very good sounds for it, and I did not yet know (or bother) how to edit the midi sounds to make them sound better.
This is just a quick remix using the same old sounds. I don't think…

This is the 2012 remix.
This song was based on a free-form lyric by Grant D. McLeman from Scotland. Quite a challenge ... :)
The title track. At one point I had visions of everyone singing at the end of the album (and thank you to those of you that did), but I just couldn't get it to sound right (I don't really know what I'm doing after all). So instead of voices…
You could sing the phone book, and I'd probably be amazed.
I hear elements of Garth Brooks, Don McLean, and - of course - a lot of original Keith Landry in this song. Great work, as usual!

Steffen
I love this tune, it's a little bitter but still love it :)

My cyber friend Tony Jones , added some keys , percussion and lead , transforming my song into something i couldn't have dreamed of
To the Welsh Wizard , many thanks
The trees turned blue
And the sky outside is yellow
I hear you sigh
While you dream of purple cellos
I don’t in dream in colors baby
nor in black and white
and I can’t tell what’s up or down
or wrong and right
You turned blonde

There was this biker bar called The 2500 Club. Just west of Sylvania on Belknap. On a sign outside it says, "The best little biker bar in Texas." Guthrie and Rick and I played there long enough to get to feeling pretty much like family.

It was about sunrise when I met this guy on the streets of the French Quarter and bought him coffee. I don't know if he's still around -- that was some 20 years ago -- but a two-hour conversation affected my life more than I would have ever known…

Frank has turned up at Reg's cellar with Louis and the Duke with a tune that Frank is claiming to be about his latest love affair, so naturally Reg switched on his tape recorder........
The Regs go jazz ... I'm really not much of a jazz fan, but your music is different in a very positive way. So it's no wonder that I do like this song! :)

THE CHILD WITH THE BEAUTIFUL NAME
What remains of an eagle that's fallen
The roots of an oak tree now claim
To draw sap for the shade for the cattle
O're the child with the beautiful name
The law…
I first heard this song yesterday when I was listening to you reading "I bury my dead", and I immediately loved it. I'm sure I would have loved it without hearing the story too, but it sure adds a lot of meaning and depths to it.
Great work, James!
You are the master of minimalism! Great work.
Just one note: The music ends somewhere around 2'50, but the length of the mp3 is 4'48. Wrong locator settings during the audio export?

If I can figure out how to download this track I will add rhythm guitars.

Kicks ass. Love it. Wish I could do stuff like this. Sooooo poppy!
Beautiful! If this was one of your first you certainly got off to a wonderful start!
Love the guitars on this track!
Love the taste of Paris here in the summer. Especially in August when it's pretty empty. A most romantically pretty track.
beautiful tune........wonderful playing.....
incredible.
A cello with this would be so nice...or a whole bed of strings to undergird that melody.
Very nice. So clear and clean. Nice voice too. I see you collaborate with other musicians. Feel free to ask me to do background vocals.
Awesome. This reminds me of something from the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack. (I really dig that soundtrack.)
Brina really has a great voice. Very well done once again, my friend!

This is what I call root folk: original, rough, authentic. And a great performance. Nice job, Mike! Thanks for sharing. Regards, Steffen

This turned out nicely. Great mix, Diego!
Very nice and relaxing, Rob! Good work, and a great way to start the day.
As pretty as I expected it to be. Your calm, relaxing songs are just perfect after a long day at work. Regards, Steffen
I'm pretty sure this could have become a hit back in the 70s. Great song, James!
Reminds me of an acoustic Nils Lofgren album. Very nice, powerful playing and singing. Your voice is perfect for this music. Regards, Steffen
Very pretty - I love the light mixture of folk and new age. Regards, Steffen

Hey, that's an unexpected style from you. Nice old-school (60s) feel.
