Oh, yes, the new version sounds even better. The bass still sticks out a little on some notes, but overall it sounds great.

The part up to the chorus sounds like the early Cat Stevens, before you morph into David Essex again. :D Great stuff, Andy! I'm not sure if the clicks come from the internet connection (or did you want to create a vintage vinyl impression?). But I'll download the track anyway, so I'll soon know. :) The mix is a little bass heavy, but the song is still great.

Thanks @JMT and @Wildgeas! I just uploaded a new mix with Andreas Hülsen on drums. He used an electronic kit with the same samples that I had used in my version, so when he sent me the MIDI file, I was able to reproduce the original sound, just with the human feel of a real drummer playing the drums. :)

This is one of my favourite songs of Helen Reddy's (although that's already a cover of the Tanya Tucker version)! Nice, bluesy rendition. :) The vocals are heavily out of sync though - you should fix that in your DAW.

With the video it gets even better. I love your performance! Great to see you "live".

70's rock all down the line. I love the background vocals and all the guitar work. I think the drums could be more upfront, and I can imagine some percussion too. That would be the icing on the cake. But anyway, a great song! Very well done.
