Tom came down the cellar this morning so Reg Regged up one of his tunes....... Straight out of the Micro Br i'm still trying to figure it out but it's coming..............
This one has caused quite a bit of discussion between us on how it should be mixed. Has anyone got an opinion because we would like to know how you would have mixed it, where would you have put the bass, piano, drums, voice, guitar etc. Any constructive…

Reg had a bit of tiff with the Mrs so he stormed down the cellar to release his anguish with Elvis and turned it into this little beauty .....now he feels a lot better and is making Mrs Reg a nice cup of tea to say sorry....because lets face it…

Excellent work! Welcome back other Reg!
@ Beth: Well, since you had to ask! Yes, the percussion here is very nice: I would classify this not as Bossanova (a Brazilian pattern built upon Samba type rhythms). To my ear, this is afro-cuban and would be in the "Son" (aka Salsa) family, in which the "2" is the primary accent. There are a variety of patterns in this family, differing primarily in tempo:
Bolero; Guajira<104; Danzón = 104-132; Cha-Cha = 108-126; Son = 122-224; Son Montuno = 184-216; Mambo = 224-264.
i think the title says it all.....the easy ones from the Beatles music book........More Regged up beatles but no Elvis he has gone off in a sulk he never did like them and he thinks were doing too much of them.......

This is a piece Norm and I collaborated on last year. We hope you will enjoy it.
two improvised 12 string guitar lines
bass line ( I took a few takes)
improvised piano
Norm's percussion in Tumbao rhythm
Norm has been teaching a master's class in percussion and gave me (a lot!!) of guidance to try to add bass properly to this. I added 5 string bass, Fender Mustang and GR-20 sax to his excellent Tumbao track. We hope you enjoy it.
At a recent charity event held in my small town's train museum, I was admiring a massive brass train bell when the curator walked up to me. I commented that a bell would really rather be heard then seen, and he agreed. I offered to digitally record…
