Song of the Raven Queen (floodwater mix)
Inspired by a line in one of the many books I read while laid up with a recent back injury.
Song of The Raven Queen
As The Fool set sail in an old milk pail
To fetch the Moon’s reflection
The Mountains stood as of course they should
And offered no protection
So his course was laid and he was unafraid
As he sailed into illusion
And the Mountains cried though they stood aside
And pitied his confusion
And as it was foretold in the prophecy of old
He was one whose treasure was not gold
Then The Raven Queen, she began to sing
Of wind and wood and water
A sudden rain came hard and without regard
Swept away what lay before her
In the morning light the birds told by flight
That someone would soon arrive
And as the noon sun burned the Fool returned
Empty handed but alive
And as it was foretold in the prophecy of old
He was one whose treasure was not gold
And as it was foretold only one man could grow old
One man to serve The Raven Queen
I loved the song, it was well written and that voice!! Delish!!
Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Also, yes.
Great song my friend! Hope you are feeling better, back injuries are the worst! Heal up quick and Jam on it!
Real treasure man. Solid Gold!! I like the transition to the other side of Cave Street.
Good one excellent vocal quality.
Very melodic and enjoyable. Reminded me a little of one of heros . . . Ian Anderson.
