Yeah, this is really cool. I wouldn't have known how to describe it, but Andrew's description works! It really felt like the drums were going to pull out and then jump into a Ringo backbeat through the chorus, then instead we got the brass filling in that jazzy feeling.
The solo is great too. Keep it up!
this song is about 17yrs old , i have remixed it , guitar / bass / lead gtr / keyboards organ / vocals / words / music . by myself . hope you like it thanks for your time ......cheers tony cee.

The Woman You Love
She never needs to compromise
Strips paint with a simple cut of her eyes
As warm as a summer sun; as cold as a winter moon

She lays tables cooks our food

Woke up this mornin' got the blues in my head,
Nobody beside me, just an empty ole’ bed.
Heart's been achin', since you walked out the door,
Sittin' here lonely, I can't take it no more.

This is my first collaboration with the talented SLKrell! He had a reggae song called "Rancho Raggae" posted a couple of weeks ago in need of a lyric, so I asked If I could write some for it, and poof whala!! Here it is! Thanks Slkrell for the…
Sometimes life tends to repeat itself if you're not careful.... Good to find a moment to recognize old patterns and shake them off.
Great help on this one from the MN Coffee Table Gang - Greg Connor on guitar and vocals, and Mark Lofgren…
Did a studio challenge this week from Joe Gilder to try to recreate an entire song from scratch, breaking it down and recording and producing everything. This could be considered a cover tune of "Something for the Pain" by She Drew the Gun. I…
New original from me, hot off the old wotsit.
When it was half written yesterday, I was considering binning it as a throwaway exercise - I do that quite often. But I played the songwriting demo to someone else and, er, apparently I should finish…
So I was locked in the broom-cupboard, checking out some old songs that need recording.
I'd just picked one and then suddenly this thing came out of nowehere. It started with one of those guitarist doodles that other musicians love so much…
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode
While looking at the pictures taken in a Trip in Finland years ago, I started to remember and tried to re-create that feelings in the song. Technology and Nature.. in the same place.

This song is our June submission to the REM Challenge. With summer upon us it was difficult to get the trio together to record so I sat down on June 21st to write and record a solo piano piece. Three hours later this is the result. It’s appropriately…

Especially the rhythm guitars on the choruses - those choruses really pop and bounce, must have been fun to play.
