This was a warm-up song I did in January 2010 in preparation for my February RPM Project, "Wave". I was just trying to get a vibe going and wasn't focusing on anything lyrically, hence why the title is also the only line in the song.

This sounds pretty damn cool, if I could make a suggestion, I'd double up the guitar and vocal tracks, pan each left and right, and delay the right tracks by a few milliseconds. It makes the whole thing sound massive and gives it tone without having to resort to any compression!

A cover of the Cure's minimalist alt-rock classic, an old favorite of mine.

Thank you, Tess! I remember finishing RPM last year thinking this was the weakest track of the bunch, but it pleases me to no end that you still liked it on a revisit 11 months later. :-)
has anybody ever really felt complimented by a drunk? its like your words mean nothing/ and you have so many of them/ do you ever ask yourself/ why do i go on/ everything i eat tastes like sand/ theres butter in my underwear/ i had a dream there…

Wave 2010 (RPM)
Remastered version, June 2010.
Written and Recorded: Feb 24-25, 2010
Details: Lap Steel (FCFFCF), Epiphone Les Paul (FBbEbAbCF), Seymour Duncan Pickups, POD XT, Boss RC-20 Looper, Audacity...all fingers, no picks.
Just never got this one sounding like I envisioned it…
A Halloween collab we did last fall that I thought was pretty cool. Designed to scare old ladies and make babies cry :) I love the way the song peters off in the end.
All tracks recorded with the Boss Micro BR, mixed with Audacity and mastered…
I mostly wanted to make music with a funky clav line I'd come up with, so this is it. For the voiceover, I unabashedly used an awesome monologue by Ken Nordine.
Comments on transmit's stuff
because im lazy thats why
Forgot about this one - Badass tune!
I like it - Reminds me I want to go back and listen to your "signal to noise" album.
Cool song. I like how your voice sounds. Reminds me a little bit of David Bowie and the lead singer from Blur.
It's been bothering me over the last 3 months that the bass drum was essentially drowned out, so I did a bit of a remaster.
F*ckin great song, Just gets better as it moves along...needs volume
: )))))
...ooooo; yeah, snr- love it. Thanks.
Oh ya man, great track. Agree with savage that crunchy syth really hooks it. Almost Beck-ish
cool song, like the subtle transitions
YEAH AWESOME

I love the vocals on the chorus.
Nice sounds! Like it a lot
Dramatic and bold! Very cool.
(And great lyrics!)
Lovely deep sounds, gorgeous oceanic vox! (Just read your "about" - well, I'm looking forward to the final version then!)
Great stuff. Really enjoying your RPM album so far...
Muy FN bien!
Oh, and thanks for the Dave Mustaine comment. I told Geir that the other day - He was like "Dave who?". Geir's from Norway! :)

Good god this is good! Sort of reminds me of Robyn Hitchcock and/or early XTC.
Whoa! Fantastic lyrics! And of course a great recording. Excellent work.
I am so intrigued by that high-pitched guitar sound!
You've got an awesome vibe going on these tracks, consider me your newest fan. :-)
I love that sort of 2nd era of the Cure once they started getting gothy and psychedelic. Nice! :-)

Are you the lovechild of Jandek, Aphex Twin, and Negativland?
I don't understand why no one will eat the butter in my underwear either!
