A song about the five stages of grieving, as devised by the (late) Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. Unfortunately knowing these stages does not help you get over them.
You've been managing expectations
Consultations end in tears
Even if you're optimistic…
Part 2 - Courtroom and Sentencing.
Courtroom.
In which Angela cross examines the accused and his accomplice.
Sentencing.
In which Judgement is passed.
Call the first witness
Make you take the stand
Raise up your right hand…

08 – Feeling Confuzzzed. Written 19th/20th Feb. Recorded 20th Feb.
Come on Wembley, let’s see those hands in the air. As poppy as they come, including plenty of la la las to sing along with. I was very pleased with my Harrison-style slide…
04 – Machiavellian Ways. Written 5th Feb. Recorded 5th/9th Feb.
Mark Morriss has written some really witty triple rhymes in a slightly country fashion, and I wanted to try it too. Although I am not sure if I succeeded, I had fun - and got…
05 – Officer’s Mess (March). Written and recorded 2nd Feb.
This is as close to beat-boxing as I am able to do. I can only apologise for the smutty pun.

(Gah! Just nipped to the RPM site to pimp you, but it seems the thread's been disabled. Thwarted! Bah!!) This is without a doubt one of my top 3 RPM album pics of this year. Absolutely packed with wonderful song-writing, cleverness and great production. Witty and cool.

10 – Strictly Rehearsed. Written 13th Feb. Recorded 13th/14th Feb.
More upbeat shenanigans, this time attacking someone’s who’s off the cuff remarks are pre-prepared (and written as crib notes on their cuffs).

11 – Eventually (Pop Song). Written and recorded 1st Feb.
A joyous celebration of the lie ‘Ladies First’. Honestly - this is pure filth, start to finish. Cover your ears.

09 – Carry On Crying. Written and recorded on 12th/17th Feb.
A 5/4 romp starring Sid James and Hattie Jacques. Godley and Creme will direct the video.

03 – Meteorites. Written 2nd/3rd Feb. Recorded 3rd Feb.
Inspired by the film ‘Stardust’ where our hero meets a (literal) fallen star. The painful low vocals were particularly fun, and their emotional cracking was acting rather than the fact…
This album is definitely one of the best things from RPM 2009 and, being a big High Llama's-fan, right up my alley. I also planned do try more multitracked vocals but ran out of time (starting with the vocals only the last three days) so it's quite amazing to me you got all of this done in one month.
02 – Falling Down Again. Written 17th/18th Feb. Recorded 17th/18th/19th Feb.
A slightly schizophrenic pop song, with a vocal section that also betrays me wanting to be a Beach Boy. Worryingly there is actually a red sticky trickle that seeps…

01 – My Prayer. Written and recorded 16th Feb.
Paying homage to ‘Our Prayer’, the opening of SMiLE – the Beach Boy’s album that never was. An extended version of this song appears on ‘28 seconds later’, an album on which each song is exactly…

The cover I did off Uglifruit's 2010 RPM submission. The drums are a pair of hotrod sticks, that I made, hitting my keyboard table. The "kick drum is the stick hitting the pop screen while the mic was on.
I still need to fade...

Wonderful inventive and very good.
Great tune. Lovely harmonies! Beach Boys meet early Genesis - no bad thing in my world.

Damn, this stuff is soooo good! I am a fan! And am now doubly gutted that I couldn't get a babysitter in March.

Yes, it's a Beach Boys jam, but it's a damn good one. You have a hit here, a beautiful hit.
Flawless opening track.

well, you got my attention!

@Will I Ram. Whilst I've written smut before, I don't *think* that was the intention here!
30th March. Replaced with a slightly alternative mix. (Wasn't happy with the first one, on reflection.)
This gets my official 'thumbs up seal of approval'. I really enjoyed what you have done with this.
The mellotron sound is Meltron 1.0 (freeware vst) by ArtiFake. For a freebie I found it very usable, and it's found all over this album.

Apoloigies, I didn't log in. Just saying this song is great. It reminds me of the Kinks - which is A Good Thing.
Thanks. I am very flattered and appreciate you taking the time to listen.
