I abuse Jeff Lynn's (ELO) wonderful song.
I sing it a minor 3rd lower then originally recorded by ELO since I wanted to use my 12-string guitar and it is a lot easier to play tuned down to reduce the tension a bit.

I also recorded this once through on the Martin and Zoom H-2 yesterday as well. One day I'll do a decent version of this, I promise. For now this is my modest Happy B-day to John.
Hello, I thought I'd upload a track from 1993's Strange Beauty today. It was reviewed by the WMR (Weekly Module Reviews) team (in 1996 I'm guessing.) These reviews were published on "uesnet" about music posts to the same system - Usenet is an…
"The Star-Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States of America. The lyrics come from "Defence of Fort McHenry",[1] a poem written in 1814 by the 35-year-old lawyer and amateur poet, Francis Scott Key, after witnessing the bombardment…
Not the most accessible tuning - 13 edo splits the octave into 13 instead of 12 parts. So everything is guaranteed to sound different. That could be the charm or the problem for you. This piece focuses more on melody than most of mine.
it is close what if the split octave for one horn is say half a tone above the 13 tones used by the other horn is that dissonance or something more diabolical like I don't know we would have to listen to something like that to know. :) This peace is just great but I am all over the french horn sound that and long string harmonics.

This is a traditional piece that dates back to at least the 16th century. Since the version I have is instrumental I used what is called Pythagorean Tuning and period instruments to render it. (alto recorder, bells (crotales), fiddle, and bodhran…
This is a composition that was realized by playing a Fender Mustang which has a divided pickup connected to a Roland GR-20 guitar to midi converter / synthesizer. The GR-20 generated piano and saxophone sounds (in two passes) which were re-tuned…
Berceuse (means cradle song - or lullaby) by Chopin Op. 57 midi recorded by Ron Lubetsky, M.D. in 1997. And indeed I can tell from the midi file this was a real performance. I ran it through pianoteq in Sonar X1. I hope you enjoy it.

Hey Richard - for Rumba - the guitar tunings are standard so if you want to play along on your piano it should work. If I remember correctly Brian laid down a basic I-IV-V in D major. I put 7th chords on top of that.
Just another time traveling love song from your ole Uncle Paul.
Mostly MIDI synths and some analog bass and screaming Ibanez.
Drum loops too. I was going to drum it, but these two loops really kinda drive it along.
Enjoy.....

I had some lyrics describing a late nite cake baking experience kicking around. If I have a lot on my mind, dirtying every dish in the house seems like the right thing to do.
I stole some cool percussion from Norm and went to work. I also…

This is a 3/16 Bembe on tuned congas, played with mallets. I've arranged it (at the very kind suggestion of Vaisvil & ReefWalker) in a verse/chorus/bridge/capo fashion to get away from a straight pattern - I think this sort of arrangement…
While I'm certain there are those who may be growing weary of scratching, I couldn't resist posting this great mix by Alister Flint, who is truly a master mixologist extraordinaire - he didn't even have individual tracks to work with! Al was too…

Richard thank you so much for your support. I don't have a problem with simple though it is not something I strive for. Talking to God is hampered more by my inability at the keybaord. However I could not have written that piece on my guitar. I have great respect and admiration for someone like yourself who has command of the keyboard. I have a heck of a time putting to hands together to make something. Chris
This is one stereo track of 6 conga drums tuned, by ear, to roughly a chromatic scale (I don't know which one - perhaps I've gone micro-tonal!) coupled with a single track of ad-lib quinto (the high drum) and a "shuffle" groove on trap-set…
You're just kidding yourself if you thought I could resist the chance to add a bit of percussion to this wonderful song by Osckilo & Launched. I used Paiste Sound Discs to create a 3vs.4 polyrhythm against the delightful underlying 4/4 Spanish…
A tune composed late in 2009, i've released it as well as other two tracks and some photos from a friend of mine as a micro-ep recently for free! Enjoy!
This is using a tuning I borrowed from The Smashing Pumpkins, which goes E-A-D-G#-B-E. Not…
Comments on vaisvil's stuff
The parts around 2.12 are completely uplifting - great stuff!
Perfect title - great conceptualisation. Check out me and my long woooooooooooooooooooords.
Well done. I love the synth work.
interesting,, not sure exactly what i think about it, but it's always neat to hear your musical thoughts
I like your spare take on this!
wild tones...duel survival.
Well that was interesting....like!

Very smooth! Enjoyed the distinct parts.
Sweet sweet collab.
reminds me of the day the notice came. "We are sorry, we will no longer be providing news servers" I miss the news groups.
Agree that it's wild, but I like the common thread running through it and the bass work is awesome.
well, it's pretty interesting,,, and as always i enjoy, reading, listening, and learning from your musical journey
Wild stuff.
Wild mix mate very cool thanks for your comments mate. This is very cool.

Hi there! Yep - it is all GR-20 and guitar. I have done work with driving soft synths and my Korg MS-2000 on other pieces.
