I wrote this one about this guy I worked with in a two man show. Do I feel guilty? Meh.

I wrote this song for the first person I ever fell in love with to tell her that I loved her. I figured that if she didn't feel the same way, it would be less awkward. Win!

A small taste of the '74 Twin Reverb. Blackfaced, master volume removed from circuit, two tubes pulled, old Celestion G12-80s (it wasn't me). Les Paul with excellent PAF-style pickups (A5 neck, A2 bridge), stock pots and caps but good parts nonetheless…

So many reasons for sorrow. One sees from within sorrow, and sees only sorrow. But we must look awry at these weeping walls, these streaking-blind windows: they are of our own…

The salient lines in this traditional song, for me, are these:
"... and still I hold, / that the time will come / when he and I will be as one ..."
What need is expressed in this "holding"? Against what, does our singer hope? The resistance…

Just another time traveling love song from your ole Uncle Paul.
Mostly MIDI synths and some analog bass and screaming Ibanez.
Drum loops too. I was going to drum it, but these two loops really kinda drive it along.

I admire your use of compression. You used it nearly flawlessly on the guitar, but here's a thought. There's a point when the right side of the stereo image gains what feels like another guitar. It would have been much easier to concentrate on what to listen to if the vocals moved to the center after this part. It's just confusing on what to actually listen to—the vocals or the guitar. Great job though, man. You rock!
