I admire your use of compression. You used it nearly flawlessly on the guitar, but here's a thought. There's a point when the right side of the stereo image gains what feels like another guitar. It would have been much easier to concentrate on what to listen to if the vocals moved to the center after this part. It's just confusing on what to actually listen to—the vocals or the guitar. Great job though, man. You rock!
Quick live recording on my buddy Jim's guitar while visiting him in Portland. The song hopefully speaks for itself. Eastern Europe gets me every time...

Oh wow, great voice, from first note on first listen! And I love the guitar playing ...
... but all that is surface. Yes? No? I dunno. This performance is guitaristic, to be sure, but it doesn't sound like the song is stuck in the guitar - I'm sure you know exactly what I mean. The idea is beyond the guitar. Anyway what I'm struggling to say is that the song is really lovely.

I locked myself/was snowed into a cabin for a month on the shores of lake Michigan, and turned it into a one man studio. Piblokto is a form of hysteria mainly found in eskimos, sometimes triggered by isolation during which the victim will find…

This song is really great. I love the shift in tone, your vocals are so clear and defined, and your falsetto is sick. Well done, good sir.
Wow. I am so impressed. I'm getting Noah and the Whale, Andrew Bird, and all sorts of inbetween. I really like this, man.
very smooth, man.
