Bitter Dregs (w/ Norm)
vaisvil
I resorted to some unmarked old CDRs in the car today on my way to and from my Dad’s (I brought him a new laptop) and found one of the earlier collaborations between Norm and myself.
This is dedicated to the families who have (and still are) loosing their home while the fat cat folks on wall street walk away even richer. No one said life is fair… but greed is a sin.
If I remember right I play my wife’s seagull and washburn bass for rhythm and no name strat copy for lead. Norm will have to chime in with what he used. Sample lifted from a documentary where a rich woman in AZ(?) bought houses at foreclosure auctions and returned the house to the original owner free and clear. Some angels still exist to balance the demon’s on the ’street.
This was way too short! Fabulous soundscape you guys painted. I think it should at least segue into something. I listened to this again on headphones, which was well worth it!
This song is special to me for a few reasons: one of which is that this was my very first on-line collaboration, just a few days after I had begun to learn the very basics of recording/mixing. Chris has been very kind to put up with my steep learning curve: it's been a very educational (and humbling) experience.
marvelous!
