I purchased a new M-Audio midi keyboard during RPM. The software alone was worth the $100.
There was no chance I was wasting any time during RPM with a learning process.
Today, I got the opportunity to install the software and plug it in. This…
Hi folks - Uncle Paul is back at it after a 4 month hiatus from music.

Someone's opened my ears (not sure who, but it's probably someone on here) - I started listening to this the other day and thought "yeah, it's ok" and stopped it after 30 seconds to look for something else.
I love the title though, so I just gave it another go... well, someone's opened my ears since then! Like it a lot :-)
The first of 4 tunes coming your way with
the spotlight on my friend "Michael Thomas of Cave Street"

This one is my favorite and chills me every time I hear it.
It never, ever, gets old.
Until Then (Shine…
Missed this originally. Love it.
I'm a sucker for songs with the word "shine" in anyway (I've used it several times over the years, myself). I just LOVE the word and the concept of "shine" when it's applied to humans - seems to be a really powerful trigger. I would use it in every song I write if I could!!! (Would kind of waste it's power though lol)
And this one doesn't waste it... a really beautiful song and performance. Faved.
And another installment of grinding metal! As always, using my POD HD Pro, Jackson Soloist, Roland VS-2480 DAW and Beta Monkey Drum Loops- Double Bass Mania I: Reloaded
The most insane thrash song I've ever written. Would love to see a mosh pit going with this song. As always, recorded with my Pod HD Pro, Roland VS-2480 DAW, Jackson Soloist, ESP 5-string, and Double Bass Mania III by Beta Monkey Drum Loops.
Originally written in 2006, I decided to re-record this song as it's always been one of my favorites. With much better production, and a few changes this song has been reborn. Hope you guys enjoy it!

A little mini-suite. I had my 10 songs underway for my June album in a month project and like a doofus I threw together an extra song at the last minute, and made it three songs in one. (I then added two more, because I'm dumb).

County Line
Making my way to the County Line
Gonna leave my troubles far behind
Change my name to something new
My happy life is overdue
Everyone I owe is standing in line
If I was just broke, I’d be doing fine

I had another version of this Stan Rogers tune up here before. But I recently decided to invest in some nice plugins for my recording setup (IZotope). I used this tune as a learning project and it came out so much better than what I had before…
