I like it more than Johnny Cash version of Depeche Mode song. I know your song only shares name and i actually expected this to be a cover. I'm curious, which software do you use for recording?
Love this sunny day doo,doo,doo,doo song.You have a great voice.Love the melody.And who are you walking with on this beach? Hmmm?? NH coastline perhaps??
Hey Lane, No issues here. I'm glad to know people are listening and having fun. Thanks much for your help and interest. As yo can tell, I'm not very good at the mixing stuff. Thanks again, DaveC. ( acoustic57) :)
I like it - are you performing it live or is this not mastered? Using an online mastering service shouldn't be too expensive to improve the quality - it's a great song, it's hard to hear it, though.
Hey - thanks for your comments on my tracks. Really enjoyed your whole record but thought I'd leave my comment here. It suits your style so well and, like you say, gotta love those train songs
Is this about a real place in your life. Very nice (You can answer by putting a message on any of my songs.) Thank you for listening to my songs and commenting.
If this sounds like it was recorded in a single take on a $7 USB microphone, and then cheesy audacity reverb thrown in, that's because it was.
The old guitar and its player are both on their last legs, but unpacking after a move it beckoned…
All I used here was the Yamaha nylon string. No effects, no other instruments, just was how the mic picked up what I was doing. I wish I had gone longer.
You might not believe this but, on all the tracks except "Lookin' For Love" I used an old Yamaha nylon string guitar. Rhythm instruments when used where either an old kick drum pedal against some packing foam that is screwed to the back of my old bass amp cab (cab isn't being used), stomping a kids tambourine or just my foot bumping on the floor (which I didn't realize until later was being picked up by the mic). Thanks much for listening :)
RPM CHALLENGE 2024
FLAME OF LOVE
Sometimes you make me so confused
I just don’t know what the hell I’ve got to do
Life may go up but it always comes down
falling heavy heavy heavy to the ground
Dulling our flame of love…
RPM CHALLENGE 2024
GOOD OLD BOYS
Good times with the good old boys
Cause their all back in town
We’re gonna get down and groove
and spread that love around
We’re gonna get down
Get down let loose and let loose
Its…
ha-ha-ha, I just did a song similar name Big Leg Woman for RPM this year. I was going to try a blues but ended up a bit different. Cool to hear yours. Nice job. :-}
Cool sassy blues style :-)
Also, thanks for checking my stuff out. Celtic Girl is done with just a nylon string acoustic. Just one track. I guess it's all in how I play that gives a hint of two instruments. Thanks again for listening :-}
A lifetime of laughter when you were just kids
And all that came after the silly things you both did
Those times are long, long gone like they ran off and hid
Then the world got bigger with other places to play
And getting so caught up in…
A nice authentic folk song. Nice job all around. Came across you via RPM checking out similar artists to me. Keep up the good work over in Windsor,VT. :-}
Song 6 for my 2024 RPM challenge. Got the guitar and bass out for this one. It's a song with a lot of dissonance and so is kind of weird. But here it is anyways. Definitely not for everyone's ears.
Anything, anything you say…
Anything…
Song 5 for RPM 2024. Sat at our piano for this one and got a bit carried away!
More of an atmospheric piece and the title track of my RPM "album". I love doing vocal harmonies (I grew up on CSNY). Thanks to anyone who listens :)
Oh…
Comments on acoustic57's stuff
that guitar has character. I like the live feel.
Great groove, brilliant instrumentation. I'd be interested -- two tracks? Guitar and mandolin? Sounds great!
Nice. A little glimpse into the comings and goings around the house!
I'm digging the poignancy here. Such a beautiful mournful vocal.

A laborious task but you’ve made it sound fun with the girl of your best friend
I know where you are coming from...
...like the intensity and the imagery.
Deep.Very thoughtful.

Hi Dave! I like the groove on this one! Your guitar has nice tone.
Great song. I appreciate the message. "scarred the land, charred our soul"

Nice. Liking that it's raw and real. Nice playing.

Nice, vocals match the music perfect. :-}
yeah, sip a good drink and get into the cool vocal projection. Good job.
Wow, cool jazzy feel on this. Nice boogie. :-]
Nice! Like the old sound and feel :-]

Wow, another really well done song. The pace change,instrumentation and allowing space is great. Clean vocals on your tracks are super good.
I like how you panned the vocals. Cool tune.
You're making us feel young again. Nicely done all around, really like the vocals here.
Nice change of pace. I agree with thetworegs, radio ready.
Cool, kind of surfer-punk. :)

Really well done Keith. Nice use of space in the music. Smooth vocals as well.
Nice strumming pattern. I like this.

Cool... a little reggae. Nice !
Wow, you really got the dissonance working to your advantage. Good job. Some push and pull as well. Weird yup, but my ears like it.
Yeah, I hear the CSNY in this. Also a nice harmony that sounds familiar that I can't quite place... you got me thinking:-}
