A new one...
I wrote it on 5th February, and managed to record it in less than a month (a head-cold and lack of hearing in one ear slowed the last lap somewhat).
But seeing as the last one took over 8 months, I think I'm already ahead for…

This is really good stuff. Songwriting firmly placed in late 70's art rock/pop, which is a very good place to be, if you ask me. Contemporary, skilled production makes for a tasty sound palette and a very enjoyable listening experience. Bravo!
This song has been sat on the marvellous mechanical mouse organ in the broom-cupboard for well over a year.
A few weeks ago I got a bit of a scare - the mouse organ nearly broke down (in the middle of sorting out Delta Dawn). While I was fixing…

I dig the classic flavor of this one. Some choice bass runs. Groovy lyrics. Great vocal delivery. Superb mix-down skills. Thanks for checking out "niaR" on my Gene Eric Mann profile. Hear it as "Rain" on my Nightmoth profile. Rock on!
Pop-rock tale about a character in a novel that I fancied. Recorded in 2009 on a Boss MBR.

Waiting for the story to unfold…
I wrote this thing in 1994. When I played it to some friends back then they went "yeah, but where's the rest of it?"
I've been struggling with that concept ever since. Then, a while ago, a couple of kindly souls removed that worry from me…

A song about my wife. Recorded 2005.
I'd just taught myself how to play piano (badly).
I'd always wanted to be Freddie Mercury when I was younger... still got a bit of a ways to go.

Electric blues. Recorded 2007. I was learning how to use my DAW and trying to figure out how a one-man-band could get to sound like a bunch of old bluesers in a sweaty bar...

A quickly improvised tune with some stream-of-consciousness lyrics. Written/recorded hastily in the dead of night on Tuesday 11/27 with a short overdub session on Thursday 11/29, when I should have been sleeping.

I was listening to M.TC here on Alonetone and got this idea for a song ...so out came the £16 special and here it is....hope you enjoy remember there's only 17 left now..........
I got me a new mic and a pre-amp and I picked up the Jumbo Eko (I'll do this again when my fingertips have recovered). I tried to do finger picking when I was a teen, but didn't pursue it as it seemed like too much hard work at the time. Today…

These are letters I like to say - M E L I S S A
These are notes I like to play……

While bombs falling here in Sderot/ISRAEL, decided to put headphones and record new song ... minimal mix (full coming)
When I called you on the telephone
You're buddy said that you're not home
But I hear voices
Are your cuddling down there underneath…
Feel the wind in my sails
Heading toward a brighter day
No more dark, dead end trails
Looks like sunshine all the way
Aint no stopping me now
Been a long time in the darkness
Bangin round where I can’t see
Smell the fresh air through the window…
I trust this song is an encouragement to you...we are not alone.
There is an intimate Divine closeness that we are invited into...moment by moment.
I am so thankful for this...
You are with me now
You are with me now
Within this sacred moment…
This was a one of the versions of Stay I was working on from a year and a half ago. I put a mic in a narrow hall way closet and went in recorded the guitar and vocal simultaneously. Hoping to get a break in the action and get one of my new songs…
Gene has woven his magic again around the music for this cover by Boston...and also done a hell of job on the mix too..Thanks Gene for letting me play....hope you enjoy
A song for all the rainbow people; musicians, artists and healers, to name but a few.
A true collaboration for Jip and Lady Jane as they meet up for the first time in 32 years and, together with Mike and his witty one liners, come up with this…

Very tasty. Mighty fine acoustic sound... and that vocal... yes.
Love that vocal
Well, not heard their version (or even of them!), but this sounds fab, bum notes and all :)
Oh yes. Love it.
Lovely song and fine vocals.
Rock... and Roll
And this version too. Love the vocals.
Oh yeah... Love the words.
Well, that's kinda exactly what I needed to hear right now... Many thanks.
Like it. It's good when songs start up when you're not actually "trying to write a song".
Oh yeah - like this a lot.
Oh yeah. This one sneaks up on you.
Funky. Not sure it needs anymore windchimes than it has already, though... The chickens just made me feel hungry
Oh yeah. Cool geetars.
