I hear you
Calling my name
Like a whisper
And a scream
You haunt me
Forever
Twist your arms
Around my neck
In a dead embrace
Locked with love
You haunt me
You haunt me
I tore the paper
From the walls
To see what
Was underneath
You left no…
I hear you
Calling my name
Like a whisper
And a scream
You haunt me
Forever
Twist your arms
Around my neck
In a dead embrace
Locked with love
You haunt me
You haunt me
I tore the paper
From the walls
To see what
Was underneath
You left no…
I wish you could see
The beautiful light
That surrounds you
It touches me, touching you
We look at these pictures
When we were young
Long for yesterday
When we knew nothing
Now we know so much
Too many things
Why can’t we let go
Forget everything…
Completely inventive and inspiring rpm album - the female vocal adds a lovely texture to your emotionally-charged music, and I love the direction, but hope you haven't quit singing for good.
In the moment
So alive
Taunting death
Every color sings
Every smell
Breathe deep
Open wide
All is new
Sounds inspire
Electric space
Shed the skin
Of the old
All is new
All is new
Take my hand
Run so fast
We’re alive
Taunting death
Although Asimov doesn't have a story directly named after the super-computer, it does
appear in many of his sci-fi stories, and is related to many of the stories that inspired
these compositions. So, it is fitting as it serves a bit of a 'overture…
this is a great idea. I did an album based on the novels of Haruki Murakami and one based on "the Talisman" by Stephen King. It's in the grand tradition of musical composers to base one's art on other mediums and works and this is definitely a success!
from the album "Que Vive!"
you’re so much like me that I’m not sure
where I begin and you end
sometimes I even see through your eyes
your shi brown eyes
still innocent
you’re so refined, that I can’t
fake any more lies
you’re clutching…
A RPM 2012 warm-up, using Angie Fights Crime's words:
she hides her heart under the pillow
waiting for the good fairy to come
replace this worn and broken thing
with a heart that can feel again
she’s never sure which night will be her lucky one…
Were you not there
I'd have fallen through I swear but hey
You were unaware
That I'd built up a dependence on you
Well alright
Never mind, I'll find salvation in a needle
or a bottle of somekind.
you were to me
somewhere between a saint and…

the honor is all mine. how great for some dumb hick in kansas city to write a bunch of songs and all these incredible artists step up and record them for free. seriously, i'm humbled beyond words.
New original. I hope you find it enjoyable. And if you're willing to leave a comment, I'd love to hear your feedback. :)
Lyrics, for those who like them:
Grey fisted clouds in the sky. Plaid skirt and innocent eyes,
And I am no longer sane…
Reg has added some lyrics to the Slowdown piece.....Reg has just realized that its ok! to get clean, but now he's got to stay like it the rest of his life ...................and that's a long time to be sober...............
Flinch
I'm guilty
I took the bait again
And here I am again
Always with the same stupid grin
And I didn't go as planned
Few things do I've learned
From the top I pulled it
but I didn't see how far you'd go
didn't I see you flinch…
This is a song about finding momentary escape from the pain of loss.. and having it interrupted by the realisation that it's the anniversary of the day it all started;
Some days I get up
and I go to the park
and I sit in the dark
and I think…
RPM 2011
Wait for the room to focus
Feeling around for closure
The whiteness of my skin
The pale reflecting eyes
The beaty of total darkness
Move to the door and open
Room after room of sorrow
Breathing through your mouth
Flooding from your eyes…

No explanations left to give apologies over
She wanted more than the story, but nobody told her
I hear the insane are hardly worth the medication
But she'd like the story just the same, for when she gets older
It's not the end…
Some may say that given time, every one messes up and thinks of no one else,
Sins their sin, their selfish acts.
But you I would have sworn were different, a faithful heart.
Not without fault, but I never thought you would cut me like that.

i'm working on my cover, it may take me a week or 2, it's complicated song, mostly the lyrical delivery, which i don't want to change. everything else though, has got to go.

Julia's edgy vox fits this music perfectly, and it's great to hear a teasing amount of Brent vox in there also. :-)

I just realized the title of the CD has to do with pulling yourself away from this awesome music and getting back to work. No, I won't like it.
